The interior is clean, bright and contemporary, with pine walls & ceilings, comfortable furnishings and an efficient, pure design. 12 acres of woods & trails slope in two directions, one to the sandy beach on the bay, the other to the freshwater lake - both are secluded & excellent for swimming.

The town of Friendship is undeveloped and offers a true taste of Maine. With scenic beaches, several lakes and on a peninsula jutting into the ocean, it is a quiet fishing village of small homes and quiet summer cottages. Kayak rentals are available in town. There is a small local grocery with deli & video rentals, library, hardware store, a playground and several churches. One of the most productive lobster harbors in the world, lobsters are available down on the docks - we also provide contact numbers of local lobster fishermen in our welcome kit.
