Aloha and welcome to paradise at our vacation rental condominium on the Big Island of Hawaii. Conveniently located mid-way between Kailua village (commonly called Kona) and Keauhou, on Alii Drive, directly across the street from the ocean with sweeping coastal views from the pool area. With only 32 units, this is a small complex. Its tranquility and peaceful atmosphere starts in the open-air lobby with the Koi pond and waterfalls. A large, heated, crystal blue pool is a great place for exercise or relaxing beneath the umbrella shaded tables or chaises. Gas barbecues, at the pool area, invite you to stay and keep an eye out for dolphins and whales (in the winter months). This safe and secure development will make you feel at home. Our unit has been totally renovated with granite counter tops throughout, updated appliances, furnishings and top quality mattresses in the bedrooms. Professionally and tastefully decorated you may not want to leave, so book with us now and sip your tropical drink on our very private lanai.

Our home away from home.: This is my second home so I have attempted to make my unit comfortable and classy, with a tropical flare. The very private lanai faces a historic heaiu which is teaming with colorful, tropical birds to include Red Crested Amazon Parrots, friendly geckos, wild pigs and other fun wildlife. No one can see into my unit from outside.

On site management: The Royal Kahili, General Manager is on-site and is very cordial, and friendly. Live the aloha spirit here. .

My second home is fully stocked so that all you need is your bathing suit, shorts, a t-shirt and flip-flops. You might find cheaper but you won't find better!

Payments: I accept credit card payments using the HomeAway/VRBO online payment system and 'e-checks' for guests with US banks. Payment from Canada or other areas outside of the U.S. require payment in U.S. dollars only. Additional fees may apply if US funds are not used. Initial contact should be via email. Phone contacts may not be returned. Reservations can only be made online through HomeAway and VRBO.

It was always a dream of my husband and I to live in the mountains and have a second-home in Kona, Hawaii. That dream was completed with our purchase of the condo in 2008. Some of that dream is gone since his passing but it's my pleasure to share my second home with visitors to paradise!

Ginger L Foust purchased this condo in 2008

The complex is small, quiet, tropical, well-maintained and friendly. The pool is rarely crowded and the views from the pool area and our lanai made the Royal Kahili our choice. The central location makes for easy access to everything from the beaches to shopping and to the highways. Having personally stayed in other condos here, it's wonderful to look out onto our private 'jungle' and not into another condo. Our privacy here can't be beat!!!

Although we assume no responsibility for their usage, there are frequently items available for the beach, snorkeling and bogey boarding. Just ask John, our manager.

WONDERFUL PLACE!

Fantastic Condo! Ginger, the owner, really goes out of her way to make sure visitors enjoy their stay. The condo is nicely decorated and meticulously clean. The grounds outside are really nice as well. We enjoyed barbecuing in the evenings. Also, Ginger has a binder filled with things to do while on the Big Island which was really helpful. You can tell Ginger takes pride in her property because everything is really well maintained. Thank you for a wonderful vacation Ginger!!

GREAT LOCATION IN SUNNY KONA

The location is great!! Easy to to get downtown and to various destinations. The layout great for what we needed and a lovely patio were we enjoyed breakfast and coffee every morning.

The condo was clean and obviously well maintained. Ginger's information and instructions were great and easy to follow. The additional information, such as beach locations, various stores, etc, was also extremely helpful. Also the general manager was readily available and good source of information.

ROYAL KAHILI IS THE PERFECT PLACE TO STAY.

Perfect location away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, close to great snorkelling. Nice and quiet condo resort, nice pool and barbecue area. John was always friendly and very helpful. We rented direct from an owner and the condo was very well equipped, clean and ready for us on our arrival. Ginger was very nice and professional to deal with, communication was superb. We will rent again. Highly recommended. Thanks.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY

We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay at the Royal Kahili. We often felt that the pool complex was our own private retreat. The location is excellent for staying on the Big Island. The condo was clean and cozy and well equipped to boot. Surfing across the street in the bay was fabulous. We met many of the owners of units and they are fantastic folks. The manager of the condo complex, John, is very accommodating. We would definitely return to this unit.

JUST WHAT WE EXPECTED

We found this condo/vacation rental to be exactly the way it was presented. Comfortable and homelike. We were a group of 5 and were very comfortable. The complex in general was clean, inviting and offered amenities we'd not expected. We ended up spending more time here than anticipated simply because it was so relaxing. Yet, beaches, shopping, snorkling were all close by. In fact, watched a group of sea turtles feeding in the bay across the street. Certainly hope we have a chance to come back.

WONDERFUL PLACE --- WILL RETURN

A homey tropical condo.Very well decorated with all the amenities you would want and then some.Clean ! Clean ! Clean !
A lanai looking into the green trees with fruit growing on them and to your right the ocean with the sounds of the waves.This place definitely shows that the owner has pride in her condo.The grounds outside are very well kept.Allot to offer. The setting goes along with the island. Think they need to up date the pictures to view for they have added so much and change things that the current pictures do not do it justice.The pond is awesome.
John ( manager ) is a really nice man whom I enjoyed talking with.Very friendly
The location is good. Near to all but not on the tourist path.
I can't say enough about this place .Thank you Ginger for opening up your condo for us and all to enjoy. I WILL be BACK

Volcano National Park is approximately 90 miles. The large resorts of Waikoloa are approx. 30-45 minutes to the north. City of Refuge is approximately 30 minutes south.   • Both bathrooms feature tiled floors and bathing areas. The shower in the master suite is tiled and over-sized with a glass enclosure. The tub/shower combination in the guest bathroom is tiled and has a glass enclosure. Counter tops in both baths are granite and updated lighting.

  • Quality Serta Mattresses are in both bedrooms. Both bedrooms have large closets and the master has an ensuite bathroom. The master bedroom also has a large flat panel TV and direct access to the lanai. The guest bedroom is above the pond/waterfall area with peaceful and refreshing water sounds. The twin beds in the 2nd bedroom, cannot be pushed together. At night and early morning you can hear the waves crashing from my private lanai and the bedrooms. It's just 115 easy steps to the ocean's edge from our condo. The pool is 65 steps from our condo. Everything in our small complex is close-by.

Notes:
The complex does have a elevator but there are still 4 steps down to our second floor unit, although my unit is the first floor off the parking area. Throughout the complex there are single steps in the pond and pool areas. Every living and sleeping area has a ceiling fan. Daily maid service is available if arranged at the time of making the reservations at $125 per day. Otherwise the unit will be cleaned at check-out. The land line telephone is for local phone calls only. Phone cards are available at most retailers. Large flat screen TVs, hooked up to DIRECT TV are in the living area and master bedroom. Home entertainment system. Seating at the dining table accommodates 4 comfortably and there's 3 bar stools for use at the kitchen/dining room bar. Central air conditioning with lower limit of 75 degrees
