Malibu on the Ocean - Fabulous Setting!

Spending our vacation in your lovely home was an incomparable experience. The house --- beautifully decorated and well maintained --- even came with the services of your maid! She met us when we arrived, showed us how to use your home's many fine features and returned twice a week to clean and do laundry. She is a gem and her services were a special bonus.

Along with all the other special features of your home, we enjoyed the terraces (with electronic awnings), the hot tub and the exercise room. All of us remarked about the incredibly comfortable beds, and with the sound of the waves, everyone slept soundly. I enjoyed walks on the beach at low tide and my dog and I actually encountered an enormous seal on two of our walks. On both occasions, the seal allowed us to slowly and quietly approach within fifteen feet before it decidied to return to the sea. It paddled just off shore and lay on its back with its head and back flippers in the air and watched US for a good twenty minutes! Truly a memorable experience for me and perhaps for the seal, too...

During the day, we enjoyed watching the many birds flying by and the dolphins who swam towards Santa Monica in the morning and back towards Santa Barbara in the afternoon, It was also quite a beautiful sight to see the lights along the shore each night from Santa Monica.

Your location was convenient for shopping nearby at the charming CrossCreek Mall (restaurants, shops and movies), for grocery shopping at Vons down the road, for culture (a concert at Pepperdine University, a tour of the Adamson House and TWO visits to the SPECTACULAR Getty Villa), as well as for trips into Santa Monica and Los Angeles.

We enjoyed delicious meals with ocean views at MoonShadows (quite nearby) and at Geoffrey's. We returned THREE TIMES for dinner at Giovanni's on Pacific Coast Highway, which must be the best-kept secret in Malibu (how did Zagat's Guide miss this little jewel?!).

We had a relaxing as well as an exciting vacation at your property. We would recommend it to others and would love to return. Again, thank you for renting your home to us.

I've stayed in all kinds of 5-star hotels, beach resorts, and luxury rentals but I wouldn't compare any of these to my experience in this house...
To start with, during my entire stay I really felt like I had my own private beach- except for the occasional dolphin, it is surprisingly spared by visitors.
The house itself is exquisitely decorated but also very livable and extremely cozy- including a jacuzzi, a cabana and a grand piano.
Its perfect for a creative person who craves tranquility and is easily inspired by natural beauty.  
It's also brilliant for entertaining. The outside deck and the dining room are quite perfect for just a few guests or a party.
It's a 5-minute drive to Malibu Village and 10 minutes from Santa Monica, both rich sources of restaurants, cafes & shops.
Another wonderful thing about this place is that it's equally perfect for a couple, a family or just one.
