You won’t need to bring anything but your bathing suit, shorts and some t-shirts to enjoy your trip to Grand Cayman. This luxury oceanfront condo provides everything. Located directly on the beautiful waters of the Caribbean Sea, the panoramic views and nearby water sport activities mean you need not venture far to enjoy all the island has to offer.
This private and peaceful resort is the perfect place to relax and enjoy as the tropical trade winds blow your troubles away. Only 30 minutes from the airport and the downtown George Town shopping area, On The Bay is a 12 unit complex situated on beautifully landscaped grounds on the quiet North Side of Grand Cayman.
Go for a refreshing swim in the pool or take a dip in the private cove fed by the sea. Snorkel right from the beach, or take a stroll in the sand. It’s all right at your doorstep. If you’re looking to take a boat trip, ride a waverunner, or go scuba diving, these activities are only 10 minutes away at Rum Point.
If you enjoy hiking, the Mastic Trail is only 5 minutes away, as is the beautiful Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park with its magnificent gardens of orchids and local flora.
Nearby restaurants provide both casual and fine dining.
We spent two unforgettable weeks in this beautiful condo celebrating 25 years of marriage, Christmas, and New Year’s. To start, the views are amazing! Unlike the peopleless photos of 7-mile you see, the pictures of the quit beach and pool at On The Bay are very accurate. The private beach and pool rarely had more than two families. On New Year’s Eve (full moon), we saw bioluminescent in the lagoon…very cool! Rum Point is a must, and be sure to try the french fries with jerk sauce. The Lighthouse was our favorite restaurant with the best views, food and service. However, the meals we prepared and shared together at On The Bay cannot be beat. George Town and the west side of the island do have some very nice places to visit. However, check the cruise ship schedule before heading that direction and don’t attempt stingray city with more than two ships in port! If you like history and want to see the prettiest point on Grand Cayman, visit Pedro St. James castle. After exploring the entire island, it was always so nice to come home to the peacefulness of On The Bay. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise.
We arrived the first week in December. Despite the gloomy forecast and winds that blew 25 miles per hour, Mark's condo at On The Bay did not mar our vacation at all. I'm not a surfer, but for those who are, you will delight in the eight-foot majestic waves that crest the shores of Old Man Bay in early December. For photographers, it is a sight not to be believed. And for those who were expecting a gentler ocean, don't despair. We found the small lagoon right on the property the perfect place for an afternoon dip. Despite the surf crashing the shoreline, this little tidal pool had calm waters that were warm as a baby's bath water, no undertow, and lots of colorful fish darting in and out of the nooks and crannies of the live rock reef that lined the sea wall. There may be winds strong enough to bend coconut trees but right on the sand, it's amazing that the beach furniture doesn't blow away. The breeze is calmer that you can lie down and catch some rays when the sun peaks through. At night, with the sliding doors in the master bedroom ajar, I loved the calming sound of the surf that lulled me to the best sleep I've had in a long time.
The condo had lots of space for my family of five and provided everything you need to make you feel like it was your own comfortable paradise away from home.
If you wanted to check out other beaches for snorkeling, try Queen's Monument on the North side. We even went as far as Collier's Public Beach where there wasn't a single soul and you had the whole stretch of sand to yourself, all within less than a 7-minute drive from the condo.
And the local food OMG ... Kurt's Corner, Over the Edge, Tuka's, and even Mrs. Vivene's funky Kitchen Restaurant only a 2-10 minute drive from the condo ... I can't say enough about the different Caribbean cuisine we dined on: the fried conch steak, curried goat, oxtail stew, fried fish, jerk chicken...
I loved that On the Bay condos were away from the maddening tourist crowd of Georgetown yet the island was small enough that you could circle it in half a day. If you wanted a more vibrant scene, it's a short drive. The roads are all well-paved and brightly lit so there was no problem getting around even with a left hand drive. (Can’t explain why, but Google Maps and GPS on my Android phone worked even on airplane mode). Of all the islands I've visited in the Caribbean, GC is a definite must-go-back-to and wouldn't hesitate to stay at Mark's On The Bay Condo again.

We stayed at On The Bay for 3 weeks in March. We were on the island for a wedding along with 30 or so family and friends and we were the only ones who chose not to stay on Seven Mile Beach and were so pleased we did. This place is idyllic - paradise. The condo itself is spectacular - clean, tastefully furnished and so much space - we were a party of 5 adults and had everything we needed and more. All the time we were there we practically had the beach and the pool to ourselves. And the view from the balcony is to die for! Mark (the owner) and Mitzy ( property manager) were attentive but not intrusive and there was plenty of info in the condo for local restaurants/ places to go etc, You do need a car to get about - its about 15/20 mins drive to Rum Point , about 25 mins drive to the nearest large supermarket and about 45 mins to Georgetown and Seven mile Beach . If we ever get the opportunity to return to Grand Cayman we would definitely stay here again .
A perfect place to have spent New Year's Eve!!

The description and pictures do not do justice to how great this condo is! A group of 6 rented this condo to ring in the new year away from the cold and snow that is Minnesota! The location on Old Man Bay was perfect for us. We were close enough to both Rum Point and the East End of the island to explore and find local restaurants and bars. We spent a lot of time at Kurt Korner and Over the Edge. We journeyed down to Tukka for Happy Hour and dinner. We were close enough to George Town to get souvenirs, fresh fish from the Fish Market, helmet diving, snorkeling and trips to Seven Mile Beach and the West Bay. But enjoyed the solitude and comparative peace and quiet of On the Bay Condos. The condo had plenty of room for 6 adults to relax, cook dinner enjoy each others company. Never did we feel cramped or crowded as the living room, dining area and kitchen are spacious. The patio is very large and offered a large patio table & chairs with a grand view of the private beach, lagoon and ocean. It is tastefully decorated and immaculate. The buildings and grounds were well maintained and groomed frequently. (Although we never saw who did it?!) But, the beach sand was raked and cleaned, and the loungers were organized and clean. The walks were always clean and clear of sand. The pool was crystal clear and clean. The owners included everything we needed for a weeks stay; plenty of towels, beach towels, dishes, salt & pepper, and even Jerk seasoning for the fresh fish we brought back from the fish market. The beach, pool and BBq grill came in handy for those days we cooked at "home". The Owner was easy to work with and made the booking process simple and hassle-free by responding to inquiries quickly and offering insider information that was very helpful upon our arrival. We are already planning a return trip and will definitely stay at this property again and again. Thank you for helping making our first trip to Grand Cayman a vacation to remember! -Stephen & Michelle
What a great family getaway! We were looking for a warm place to bring our family before Christmas. We had never gone to Grand Cayman before. Our ideal trip is a sleepy place on the each that is very comfortable and well-appointed. We sure found that at this property. It was quiet (even close to the Christmas holidays). There is a beautiful pool right on the ocean and a protected cove full of multi-colored fish providing excellent snorkeling. The condo's balcony runs along the master bedroom and living room providing a wonderful spot to watch the sunset, read a book or enjoy a meal. Seven mile beach is the tourist area on Grand Cayman. It is mobbed with people, hotels and cruise ship vacationers. We found it far too chaotic for our liking. The North Side, where this property is located, is just the opposite and suited my family perfectly. The owner, Mark, was responsive and helpful as we planned our vacation. I could not recommend this place more highly.
Condo was everything that I could have hoped for... Beautiful bedrooms, bathrooms, wall decorations, scenery from the 2nd floor ..overlooking the ocean. There were, perhaps, 3 other units occupied during our weeks' stay. Plenty of parking. We had the small lagoon, depicted in the photos, to ourselves, as well as the outdoor pool. We rented our cars through Budget car rentals, at the owners' suggestion... As it was ideal, and necessary, if you want to see other parts of the island. I scuba dived with Ocean Frontiers, on the east side of the island, an A class operation, in my opinion. Others in our group paddle boated with Caymen Kayaks opting for the daily rate, from Rum Point, 10 mins. drive from condo. We went to Sting Ray City with Captain Marvin and though it was pouring rain when we left dock, it was a fabulous time with 3 stops... At the sting rays and 2 other stops, to snorkel. We ate most of our meals at the condo, which has everything you might need to make and serve meals. Securing reservations, we did visit the Lighthouse for Thanksgiving day, which was delicious, but pricey, and greatly enjoyed lunch @ Tukka's on the east side of the island. We spent several days @ the public beaches on the east side of the island... Great snorkeling, as few people were there during our visits. The owner was wonderful to communicate and work with. He left a number to call locally if there were any problems; upon arrival we noticed that the refrigerator was not staying cold; with a phone call, the issue was politely and timely taken care of. If we can return to Grand Caymans , this is most certainly the place that I would return to.
