Ideally situated in a peaceful setting with breathtaking views in the heart of the Loire Valley - only 5 mins from the historic town of Loches. Famous châteaux, vineyards, local markets and restaurants all within easy reach. Sporting facilities, fishing also available nearby. Theme park, futuroscope 50 mins, tours 35min, with TGV to Paris and Euro disney 55 mins. Both properties share a fenced heated swimming pool 11m x 5.5m ( open june 1st to 15th October ). Separate outside shower room, and toilet. BBQ and garden furniture provided for each property. Both properties have their own private garden. Cots and high chairs available on request. Bed linen and towels provided. Laundry room with washing machines.

We had the most marvelous stay at Petite Grange. The property is darling. We did not realize that we would be in the country, outside of the villages. We simply loved it. The view across the fields from the upstairs window at the top of the landing is so special, as are the skylights in the bedrooms. And the bakery in the neighboring town is outstanding - fresh croissants each morning, what could be better? We felt like royalty, returning through the wrought iron gates each day after touring, and having the entire place to ourselves. We had a nice little private patio area and the interior is nicely decorated, clean and very comfortable, with a good hot shower. It was ideal for my mother and I. The nearby town of Loches is wonderful and historic. This property is nicely situated just outside, in the quiet and scenic countryside. It is a great base for exploring the chateaux country and lovely French villages. This is a very beautiful region of France.

We arrived on 6 Nov 2007, with the owners' directions. They were very welcoming upon our arrival. We chose this house for its location near Loches, its proximity to several other Chateaux and because the home seemed to be lovely with plenty of space. We had high expectations and all were easily met. The Manor is simply charming, comfortably furnished and well equipped. The weather was delightful, usually only a sweater during the day and a light jacket in the evenings. The radiant heating in the floors was perfect! The owners were helpful when we asked and left us alone otherwise. Loches had quite a nice restaurant attached to a hotel; the restaurant was so good that we went twice! While we had a map of the area, the signs would have been sufficient to find our destinations. We were joined by our friends who had never rented a vacation home and have become believers! We would absolutely return to this property without hesitation. The Loire Valley and the Manor House lived up to all expectations.
