Wonderful Country Inn with views of Lake Winnipesaukee, built in 1889, all 12 rooms fully restored to their original beauty. Enjoy morning coffee and warm evenings sitting in antique wicker furniture on the gorgeous wrap around porch, with views overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee. Fernside is bright and airy with lots of history in every room. There are four bedrooms located on the second level, each offering a full size bed, two with feather beds. There are two bedrooms located on the third level: one with two twin beds and the other with one twin bed. Located in the heart of the Lakes Region, you can take a lakeside stroll on the boardwalk. The beach is located just 0.3 miles away. Enjoy Fernside and all this area has to offer as a great getaway. Please no smoking on the property.

Step back in time...: Built in 1889 as a rooming house, by Jasper & Mary Avery, Fernside remained in the same family until November 2007 when great grandaughter, Beth died at the age of 88. After her passing, the old inn was fully restored inside and out and brought back to its original country beauty. The first floor features a beautiful country kitchen with the original farmers sink, new gas stove, new dishwasher and new refrigerator. The dining room seats 8 people comfortably. The living room features colorful antique wicker furniture and rugs. And the 'game room' is the spot to play cards and board games. The large yard features perennial gardens, lilacs, a lawn big enough for badmitton games, a picnic table and gas grill. You and your family will have Fernside all to yourselves to enjoy.
