Thank you for considering a stay at Freedom Hill Farm on Lantz Mountain in Mill Gap, Va - my name is Tom
Duncan and I will be your host. About 5 years ago, I was traveling through Bath county and decided to make a detour to see what Monterey & Highland County was all about. To say I was overwhelmed with the natural beauty of the mountains and pastures would be quite accurate.I immediately launched a search to locate a site for my new home and was lucky enough to locate raw land that extended from the valley bottom to the top of the mountain. During my final visit, prior to signing the closing documents I walked the land asking myself if I really wanted to take on this task. Somehow, the pair of American Eagles flying over my head seemed to speed up my affirmative decision.
I had always wanted a place with a nice view, and, well, now I have a better than magnificent view from Lantz Mountain across the southern Blue Grass valley to Back Creek mountain. Every window in my rental unit shares a portion of this view of Paradise and it awaits every visitor. I enjoy my wildlife and birds every day and want you to do the same. I set no agendas for my guests except to try and have you kick back and relax.
Getting to Freedom Hill Farm will be the easy part of your journey, trying to leave to return home might prove to be a
little more difficult.
