Great vacation

I just got back from a 3-week stay at the Whalen cottage in Point Judith, RI. It was perfect. The cottage is exactly as pictured and Bill is a most accommodating host. He made it very clear that he is eager to do whatever is necessary to ensure that your stay is all that you want it to be. Any questions or requests I had were addressed immediately.
The location is ideal, for many reasons 1) It's within walking distance (just 1/2 block away) to Aunt Carries where the clam chowder and clam cakes are legendary, and Iggy's, where the lobster rolls and the fish & chips are great. 2) It's 5 minutes from 3 beaches. 3) 5 minutes from the Block Island ferry 4) 7 minutes to Narragansett which has a very good visitors info bureau, a beautiful beach, the historic Towers, and many restaurants and shops. 5) 5 minutes to a very nice farmer's market (every Sunday during the season) 6) close to several nice towns - Wickford, Wakefield, Peace Dale. 7) super-easy drive to Newport. 8) 20 minutes to Matunuck Oyster Bar where I had my first ever oysters in the half shell, and boy were they good!
YET, for all that accessability, the location is quiet and almost secluded. The house is on a dead end, one lane road and most of the neighbors are only there in the summer.
