A comfortably cozy 2 bdrm 2 1/2 bath home in Camden Village, Park your car and hide the keys, you can walk to harbor, restaurants, grocer, YMCA, library and Merryspring Gardens. The home's covered front porch is perfect to relax on while enjoying your morning coffee, a rear deck with grill, dining area and outdoor fire area are surrounded by four large apple trees and flower/herb/veg. garden. A high definition TV with cable and DVD player are in the living area. The first floor master suite has a queen size bed, whirlpool tub and washer/dryer. The second bedroom also has a queen size bed, a separate bathroom with over sized walk in shower. A half bathroom sits off the living area for guests and day use. The gourmet kitchen is complete with all new stainless appliances, spices and cookware. (The home has been reserved for July , we currently still have lodging availability aboard the catamaran. The country style home is very comfortable, knotty pine floors and large double hung windows bring the outdoors in. The kitchen is brightened by two skylights set in the cathedral ceiling, all new top of the line stainless steel Maytag appliances are surrounded by concrete counter tops, perfect for creating gourmet meals or baking an apple pie with fresh apples from the back yard. Both the covered front porch and rear deck are composite decking which can be enjoyed with bare feet while not worrying about splinters. The private back deck has a table, chairs and gas grill surrounded by a small apple orchard with a hammock strung out to relax in the shade. There is a Chiminea next to the flower/herb garden to have a fire in while watching the setting sun.Reserve your Spring, Summer or Fall 2011 week now.!! Perfect stay in Camden

My husband and I spent a week relaxing and enjoying the fantastic home Rick & Katie have created right in the heart of Camden. It's well located, walkable to downtown, close to a supermarket, yet on a quiet street where we rarely saw another person. The house itself is beautiful and well appointed with all the necessities for a comfortable week's (or longer) stay. We enjoyed lying in the hammock, grilling on the patio and getting cozy by the outdoor fireplace. The kitchen is a dream - and we love to cook. In fact, we went to the Camden Farmer's Market the Saturday we arrived to stock up on local produce, grass-fed beef, artisan cheese, etc., then cooked to our heart's content. Fantastic spot we'll return to again.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Perfect in Every Detail

From our correspondence to confirm the reservation until checking out on the last day, our hosts, Rick and Katie, made this a perfect week away. The home was spotless and cozy, but not fussy. We especially enjoyed the welcome gift of locally roasted coffee. We made one nice dinner at the home and found the kitchen well stocked with cooking utensils and easy to navigate. The garden in the back--complete with herbs for cooking and mint for iced tea--was a beautiful setting for long conversations. We also took the dinner sail on their catamaran, Makana. It was the highlight of our week. Rick and Katie gave wonderful guidance on the area, but were not intrusive during our time. Highly recommend.

Five Star Cruise aboard Makana

We topped off our week stay at this relaxing Camden Cottage with a dinner cruise aboard Rick and Katie's catamaran, "Makana". Everything about the cruise was "five star," from Captain Rick and his crew, Katie and their daughter, Hoku to the gourmet meal. Mother Nature provided us with some nice wind and the most beautiful sunset we've ever seen. This was a perfect way to celebrate our wedding anniversary. A stay at this property would not be complete without a cruise aboard "Makana."

What can I say first class, there was nothing wrong with this property everything was perfect.

The description was even better, there was everything there we needed.

The place was spotless not a mark, so comfortable.

I would definately recommend this to our friends,

The house was central to everything.

Again we thoroughly enjoyed ourself would loved to have stayed longer, also will definately be back.

Camden getaway

Had a wonderful long weekend at this property which is just far enough away from Camden village to be quiet and serene yet close enough to take the short stroll to the waterfront and shops. The cottage is very well maintained and stocked with all the necessary amenities along with several personal touches by the owners which included toiletries, complimentary coffee and tea and blueberry muffin mix. We spent each morning lingering over coffee in the sunny dining area and each afternoon relaxing on the back deck and enjoying the peace and quiet of the back yard. Would definitely consider a re-visit and would not hesitate to recommend the property for a nice escape.
