Provincetown House Rental Photos and Description
2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, sleeps 5 Maximum
This modern and spacious two-story house (with a rustic interior) is a wonderfully quiet retreat, yet within a 20-minute walk to downtown. It is located in a residential neighborhood near the beech forest, the nature trails, the wooded Dunes Edge Campground, the National Seashore, and within a 5 minute walk of an entrance to the bike trails. There are two parking spaces for guests (one is a juggle space). The rental is for no more than five persons. We no longer allow pets (unless you have rented from us before). Very convenient to the National Seashore beaches and visitor center, bike trails, nature trails, and Provincetown. Avoid the traffic into town. This house was built in 1971 and has just been completely renovated with a new gourmet kitchen and bathroom. The house has hardwood floors throughout, cathedral ceilings, ac, and an abundance of natural wood throughout the interior. The living/dining room with fireplace is two stories with an overlook from the bedroom hallway above. There are many artistic touches throughout this house. Besides the many stained glass windows, and skylights, there are three sliding glass doors that open from the first floor to a large landscaped front yard with mature plantings, private use deck, grill, and koi pond with fountain. Also on the first floor is a den, which can double as an additional guest room. The two bedrooms also have cathedral ceilings with skylights. Includes: dishwasher, microwave, TV, VCR, DVD, and stereo. There is NO balcony associated with this property. The balcony is for the owners summer apartment, above the garage. Nelson Avenue area, off Race Point Road.

Rob (and Jim)
We are a couple who reside in Boston and purchased this home in 2012 for future retirement. We both work in the design profession (one as a professor and tour guide; the other as an architect). Additionally, one of us is from Boston and the other from Brooklyn. We spent the first 6 months of 2013 overseeing and performing various updates and renovations to every room of this house. We have also purchased new furniture for it, and decorated it with artwork and various artistic touches. We continue to make additional improvement every year.
We have always loved Provincetown. We moved to this house in 2013 from a townhouse, which we bought 6 years ago, in the neighboring association. After looking at dozens of properties, we instantly fell in love with this house. We love this part of town, as it is convenient to the bustling town center (a 20 minute walk!), but near to the bike and nature walking paths of the Beech Forest. We love that we are near the various beech tree forest ponds.
The front yard and its setting was the first thing that made us love the house. Most houses in this neighborhood are close to the street, and this one is set back 75 feet with beautiful mature plantings and a pond. The interior is full of natural wood, has a fireplace, and has many cathedral ceilings and skylights, along with a great deal of glass and wooded views.
