Magnificent hacienda, gracious staff, fine food

Hacienda Petac offers the best of the best in the Yucatan and would hold its own anywhere in the world.
Accommodation: Magnificent, clean, spacious, luxurious and unique. So much history in the buildings and the area.
Cuisine: Every meal was superb and the chef did a fabulous job of catering to the vegetarians in the group and those with special requests. The desserts are out of this world – the tastiest freshly made fruit sorbets and ice cream, Mexican flan, key lime pie and Mexican pastries. Luckily the gorgeous pool is large enough for a few laps and the gym/spa (looks brand new) has just the right equipment to undo the damage. Everyone in our group made good use of the spa services, provided just for Hacienda guests. I recommend the 90 minute massage for full relaxation.
Staff: Genuinely nice and always gracious and will tend to every request, including your favorite drinks and poolside service. Hacienda Petac is a very special place and we are planning a second visit.
Overall impression: 5 out of 5. Highly recommended.

Amazing - need more stars to rate Hacienda Petac

My wife and 7 year old son have stayed in many places around the world but honestly nothing (to-date) compares to the service, food, accomodation and hospitality shown to us at Hacienda Petac. Our room was beautiful, with immaculate presentation and service. We did walking tours of the property, enjoyed spa treatments which were as good as any you would get for twice the price in New Zealand (including something they made-up for our 7 year old so he felt a part of the process), visited Mayan ruins and swam in an underground "pool". Ever meal was delicious and they catered to my wifes food allergies completely. Honestly, if it was able to give this another star I would. An awesome place to stay.
