Spectacular Ocean Views at Harbour View Villas Suites on Culebra Island are the best. Hike the many Fish & Wildlife trails. Flamenco Beach just a short drive. Kayak to Luis Pena's Beaches & Reefs. Bird watching is a must while on Culebra.

About Jane Daubon

We have been offering the BEST lodging and hospitality in CULEBRA since 1970. First the Seafarer's Inn Hotel in the town of Dewey and then to the Hill!

We overlook the Harbour of the Town of Culebra and the striking Vieques Sound. We are within walking distance to both the town and beautiful MELONES BEACH and its' REEF.

Our Villas boast the most magnificent Views!

PRIVATE yet not isolated, each Villa has a comfortable Living/Dining room with 12' high exposed beam ceiling. Handsome French doors open out to the main Balcony with its' Splendid Views.

There is also a fully equipped Kitchen and a tiled Bath.

The Master bedroom has a Queen size bed and a private Balcony. Two of the Villas have a second Bedroom with twin beds and Balconies. We also have 3 Air Conditioned Studios on our 5 acre Estate.

Rustic, open air, outdoorsy

We read the unhappy review from February 2012 but decided to give it a try anyway. We were not disappointed. I think our experience was different due mostly to our expectations. Our two bedroom villa was like a tropical treehouse. Open to the breezes and yes, the bugs, lizards, chickens and other things. It is very much like camping but the location is great, the view is beautiful and the house is reasonably private but convenient to town. Yes the place could use some TLC and the kitchen is only marginally functional and the bathroom should really be remodeled but that being said, we had a nice time and will be back.

What a nightmare!

This was an extreme disappointment! These pictures must have been taken 20 years ago. It was about the closest to camping as I have ever seen. The place was full of lizards and each morning I had to take bleach and paper towels and clean up all the lizard droppings. There was no hot water in the kitchen and a tiny water heater in the bathroom which you had to turn on for several minutes to heat the water for a shower and take VERY quick showers. If you did it for too long it was too hot and not long enough and it was cold - there was no way to mix the hot and cold water. The place was not clean when we arrived. My first purchase was a bottle of bleach and rubber gloves. I see why she does not take credit cards. We paid 1/2 before we came and the remainder in cash when we arrived. Had I put it on a credit card I would have left and gotten a credit and found a nice place to stay. I accidentally clicked one star and don't know how to get it off. I would rate this "0" stars. Unfortunately, she apparently deletes the reviews because there are none. I did not realize that and will be sure to never stay at another Home Away spot that has no reviews. I could go on and on but I'm through.

The Rowes stayed with us the first week in February and even though it was high season we cut the daily rate practically in half because they were staying more than a week.


This is how we describe our Villas:
The Villa has a large deck with a spectacular view of the ocean. At night the show of stars is awesome!
The Villas are designed for the tropics with high ceilings wide open doors & windows and ceiling fans which is conducive for cross ventilation.
They are very open to the Trade Winds and yes geckos.
Our Island has no natural source of water and therefore water is sacret. There is no wasteful mixing of hot & cold. Simply a 50 gallon water heater to warm the shower.
They are wooden structures and very clean but NOT formica shiny, hermetically sealed as in big hotels
Our guests have a choice of payments and credit cards are accepted.
I do not believe Home Away allows one to remove a review.
