Me and my husband live in the beautiful country between Florence and Siena with our two Great Danes . Our two children 'left the nest', the girl lives in Florence, the boy studies in Scotland. Rent the apt. gives us the opportunity to meet people from all over the world and find new friends.
Marina purchased this apartment in 2000
When we bought the apt. we divided in two smaller and we renewed them at all, for our children. Actually the girl lives in one of them and the boy lives in Glasgow most of the year.We love to share the apartment available with tourists who like to visit Florence, until he will be back at the end of his University courses. The district is amazing, full of life, with the near Market of S.Ambrogio and many restaurants and bars. It is out from the tourists crowd, but in a walking distance from the main Monuments. It is inside the restricted area for traffic, but there are paying parking nearby.
We had many guests during these years, many of them came back, many became friends. All of them feel at home, because the apt. is cosy, comfortable, well equipped, bright and quiet. All of them love the Market, because they can find all kind of goods and sellers are very friendly.
My fiancee and I stayed at Marina's apt beg of Oct. The details described were 100% accurate. It was our first trip to Florence and couldn't have stayed in a better location. We walked to all the sites. Also recommend the hop on hop off bus tour to really see everything. Roof terrace was great to relax on with a glass of wine! Marina, thank you for a really wonderful stay. Hope to return one day!

Marina's apartment is the perfect place to stay in Florence. Marina is a gracious host and responds to all inquiries very quickly. The apartment is perfectly situated, everything is a few walking distance away. Lastly, the rooftop deck sealed the deal. Ideal place for breakfast while watching the city come to life and also a place to be after a long day of Florence exploration. The apartment made my Florence trip truly unique and memorable.
We looked at a lot of apartment rentals in Florence and we are so glad we chose Marina's! From the very beginning, she was so helpful and accommodating. The apartment is beautiful, clean, and a great place to come back to everyday after taking in the beautiful sights of Florence.
We enjoyed eating breakfast on the roof top terrace every morning and sipping a glass of wine there in the evening before making our way out to dinner.
Everywhere you would want to visit in Florence is an incredibly short walk from the apartment. There is a market right behind the apartment where you can buy fresh meats, cheese, fruit, and vegetables.
We had such a great time in Florence. It's a wonderful city with so many hidden treasures.
We would (and will) reccomend Marina's apartment to our friends and family wishing to enjoy Florence.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in Marina's apartment. The location was great in that it was not too crowded on the nearby streets but an easy quick walk to anywhere. There is a great bakery right around the corner as well as a vino sfuso shop and of course, the Sant Ambrogio market is a 2 minute walk away.
The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen very well equipped, and the furniture was nice. Everything was totally clean. Plenty of hot water in a small but usable shower. The roof top area is a huge plus, not to be missed.
Marina was extremely easy to deal with, responding very quickly to all emails.
Our family of 4 booked this apartment for two reason; the location and the rooftop deck. We thought it would be a nice place from which to discover Florence, and that by having an outdoor space, we could escape from the crowds and enjoy a bit of fresh air. Well, the apartment is perfectly situated in the centre of Florence, yet completely quiet and tranquil. Yes, we used the rooftop deck, for breakfasts mostly, and loved watching the action going on in the market below. The rest of the apartment is so clean and beautiful, we napped every afternoon (something we never do at home!). The location was great - around the corner is a lovely bakery to pick up things for breakfast. 3 blocks away is a large supermarket, and there are too many restaurants to count in the area. Marina was absolutely wonderful to deal with, and if we return to Florence, this would be the only place we would rent.
The holiday started well when passport control at Pisa realized it was my birthday (65th) and started mouthing 'Happy Birthday' and blowing kisses through the glass booth. "That's cheeky" said the slightly puzzled english couple behind us in the line. From then on it just got better. Marina's apartment is a delight to stay in, and more than met our expectations, and Marina could not have been more helpful and friendly. She booked our Uffizi tickets (I highly recommend lunch on the Uffizi's roof terrace - million dollar views), and went out of her way to set us up with interesting places to visit. More than any other Italian city I have visited, Florence is like going back in time. Even the Vuitton and Armani stores feel like suitably renaissance excess. Most of the restaurants around the Duomo are indifferent, but the setting is spectacular! But almost our favourite event was lunch in the covered market next door. We joined a clientele of market people, people from the university and occasional tourists like ourselves, and it was like a family lunch party every time we went. A week was way too short a time to stay. Can't wait to go back!
