A stay in Victoria and Richard MacKenzie-Childs’ home is far from ordinary. Tuck into a gypsy painted cupboard bed. . . but remember you are not dreaming when you awake inside a bucolic landscape painting. . . Or retire to the upper bedroom suite. . . . . .to slip out on the balcony and contemplate a majestic view of fields, forest and lake. This is a beautiful place ! You can walk to the lake in 10mn down a steep little road but best swimming on Cayuga is 5 min drive away at long point state park or village of Aurora dock or Wells college dock in Aurora as well.

Second Floor Bathroom: a generous antic claw footed tub (with a shower head) looks out on a splendid view of the garden and lake. Library bathroom: this bathroom reminds the French royalty with blue colors. The antic shower is a vigorous downpour.

  • Master bedroom: an exotic room in the Indonesian style. Through the wardrobe enter your own bathroom with spacious marble and tile shower. Enjoy sunsets over the lake from the balcony. Nature is close in this room, as if we were inside a tree. Three person Suite: a sweet room with views of the lake and a very comfortable queen size bed and an adjoining room with a single bed built into a cupboard in the wall, adorned with gypsy painting . The two rooms share a bathroom with a toilet and shower. Heather's Room: Heather, the only daughter of Victoria & Richard McKenzie used to sleep here. The decoration is a fun example of the early MacKenzie-Childs aesthetic. Yellow Room: a spacious room with a working fireplace at the foot of the queen size bed. The antic claw footed bath and sink are in the room. Silver room:A handsome room with a full size bed, with a gorgeous view of the lake and garden. Library: two single beds set up with the feel of a 'chalet'.

We also work with Norablum spa to have spa weekends. Norablum is a wonderful spa based in Ithaca, with its own line of organic based skincare products. They come to our peaceful setting and offer in-depth massages and facials. Please inquire for pricing.
