I am pleased to report that our family enjoyed a spectacular week at this great home on the marginal way. The location offered easy walking distance to both Perkins Cove and Ogunquit Beach. I would recommend it to anyone seeking a large home destination for a reunion. The personal touches such a fresh cut flowers throughout the dining room and living area and ample beach furniture were icing on the cake.

Fantastic Family Vacation

I just checked back on this property so I can spend my vacation here again in summer 2009. My family and several friends rented this property This house was even better than I expected: luxurious views of the Atlantic and Marginal Way, 5 bedrooms from one end of the top floor to the other, more than enough bathrooms for a large group. Surprisingly more privacy than you'd guess for so many people. A fantastic kitchen, huge dining room table that seated all of us, two living rooms. You can walk everywhere - to the beach, the town, Perkins Cove. My 14 year old son and his younger cousins even walked to the Cove along the Marginal Way and were thrilled that the waiters at this high-end restaurant treated them like royalty. And that's how I felt at this house - leather chairs, oriental rugs, antique paintings, fireplaces - yet the owners told me not to worry about the kids because they also have their grandchildren visit. Overall, rate this a 10, not a 5 - it's a perfect location for an "extended" family vacation

Lots of space in great location

we found the location ideal to walk to the little ogunquit beach and also to the town of ogunquit or perkins cove; great restaurants in the area. gorgeous views! this house offers a lot of space for a big extended family. great kitchen space and lots of pots and kitchen tools. very easy to cook and serve a big meal. lots of room for little groups to spread out.

it is new construction, so some people will love that everything is new. the negatives are that there is little of charm inside the big new house. the decor appears to be cast-off furniture, there is nothing on the walls, and the only window coverings are paper (literally) on the second floor only. we also found nearly all the beds to be uncomfortable. other than the decks, there is minimal usable outdoor space.
Owner's Response: It should be noted that the property is NEW construction - only rented beginning last July - The house has antique oriental rugs in every room - It also has some antique furniture and some "estate sale" furniture - BUT the beds and bedding are new -and, I believe, comfortable. The "paper" shades were put up in a hurry, but just in the bedrooms to keep out the summer sun. More furniture has been added, but there are leather couches and chairs and the dining room is set up for more than 12 people.
