Welcome to our beautiful houseboat. It's a very romantic place to stay. Living on the water is a calming and soothing experience and instantly releases your stress. Peaceful neighborhood, only 10 minutes walking to the free ferry which runs 24 hours a day and that takes you to Amsterdam Central Station in 5 minutes. There you can start exploring Amsterdam. Total distance from the houseboat to Amsterdam Dam square is 2,5 km. Free Parking right in front of the boat which is extremely rare in Amsterdam.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Prices based on 2 persons staying. Children below 12 year are free of charge.
  • We will give you a full refund of the deposit (minus a euro 25 admin fee) if you cancel more than one month before date of arrival. Cancellation 1 month to 2 weeks before date of arrival: the down payment shall serve as cancellation charge. Cancellation 2 weeks to 1 day prior to the reserved dates commencing, you will be due the entire amount (down payment + remainder). We only have one houseboat and are dependent on the income it generates.
  • Deposits: The down payment of 25% of the total sum plus 100 euro deposit can be paid through 'PayPal'. If you prefer to pay by bank, we will provide you with the account number and banking codes required. The balance is to be settled in cash upon arrival. (Of course you can also settle by bank prior to arrival.) The deposit of 100 euro will be refunded within a week after departure, if left in good order. Other Fees: more then 2 persons: We charge an extra 20 euro/ night for a 3rd person and 20 euro/ night for a 4th person. Other Policies: We need to know your arrival time on the airport or central Station. We plan our days around arrivals and we need to know at what time we can expect you. Bookings for 2 nights are possible if we have 2 nights in between other bookings.

Nice place to stay near everything in Amsterdam

We stayed at the housboat in late May of 2009. It is a short walk from the ferries that leave from behind Centraal Station in a residential area.
They waited quite a while for us to get there and gave a us a good rundown on the houseboat and some Amsterdam basics. It was very quiet at night. They also gave us good instructions on how to get to the place.
The houseboat itself has plenty of room (especially considering the size of other lodging options in Amsterdam) with comfortable futon and a separate bedroom.
It was also nice to have a washer and dryer along with kitchen facilities to save a few bucks.
This is a great choice for families, someone looking to try living like the dutch (on a houseboat that is) and for those who would prefer it doesn't get too loud.
If we had to do it over again, we would have rented bikes at Centraal Station to shorten some of the walking around Amsterdam.

Titanic House Boat

My 2 teenage daughters and I spent 3 days on the Titanic and really enjoyed ourselves. The houseboat is clean and comfortable, in a nice neighborhood. We loved the free ferry ride to get there and having a place that was close to the action but offered a quiet refuge. We rented bikes near the train station and found that it was the perfect summer adventure staying on a house boat and riding our bikes to see the sights of Amsterdam. We bought some light breakfast food to have with our coffee in the morning and snacks for the evening. The kitchen was fully furnished and the house boat had laundry facilities which were well appreciated. I highly recommend staying there but be prepared to do some walking with luggage from the train station. We hope to visit Amsterdam again someday and will be happy if we can rent the Titanic again.

Wir hatten ein sehr erholsames Wochenende in diesem liebevoll eingerichteten Hausboot mit unseren beiden Kindern (3 und 9). Die Betten wurden gerade frisch bezogen als wir ankamen und die Vermieter sind so nett und hilfsbereit, daß man sie am liebsten gleich auf einen Kaffee einladen möchte. Das beste ist, daß man von dort mit der kostenlosen Fähre schnell in die Stadt kommt und gleich mittendrin ist. Und wenn man dann den ganzen Tag durch Amsterdam gelaufen ist, freut man sich auf das Boot mit sehr guter Heizung in der absolut ruhigen Umgebung und das alles auch noch mit W-lan. Die Eintragungen der vorigen Gäste haben uns tolle Anregungen für die Stadt gegeben.
Wir kommen gern noch mal im Sommer, wenn man auch die Sonnenterasse benutzten kann.
