Located less that 100 yards from the award winning Kiva Dunes Golf Course & minutes from five other Gulf Shores courses. Secluded luxury on a sugar-white sand beach at affordable prices. The Gulf Shores Plantation is located 13 miles west of downtown Gulf Shores and is a family beach-vacation destination...away from the sometimes congested & rowdy downtown scene. Our condo is well equipped and tastefully appointed in beach motif style & colors. Guard-gated facility with 24 hour security.

Located on the sugar-white sands of the Alabama Gulf Coast, just 15 minutes from downtown Gulf Shores Alabama. Take Hwy 180 (Ft. Morgan Rd) west from Gulf Shores. About an hour away from either the Pensacola, AL airport or the Mobile,AL airport. Also, an hour away from the I-10 (Interstate). As an alternate route, an auto ferry is available across Mobile Bay if you're coming from Mobile/Dauphin Island. The ferry ride will also take you from the grounds of Ft. Morgan to those of Ft. Gaines, both historical Civil War forts. We're about a six hour drive from Atlanta.

Salt water fishing : Charter fishing boats are available from the harbor at Orange Beach, Alabama, a few miles east of downtown Gulf Shores. Surf fishing may done on the Plantation beachfront. Various inlets and piers also offer fishing & crabbing opportunities.

Sightseeing: The fabulous Naval Air Museum in Pensacola, FL is about a 35 minute drive away. It features some of the worlds most historic aircraft, and other military and historic artifacts. Historic downtown Mobile, with its antebellum downtown district & great restaurants can be reached in about an hour by car crossing Mobile Bay on I-10 or by auto ferry from Ft. Morgan, five minutes away at the west end of the island. Historic Fort Morgan, a Civil War fortress is only five minutes away, west on Ft. Morgan Road.

Shopping: The Foley Outlet Mall, a large mall that features many designer outlets is about 25 minutes away, north on Rt 59 in Foley, Alabama.

Golf: Our unit is located just yards from the entrance to the award winning Kiva Dunes Golf Club, designed by Jerry Pate. It is one of Alabama's finest courses. Other courses that are very close by: The Peninsula (5 minutes), Gulf Shores Golf Club (10 minutes), Cypress Bend (15 minutes), Cotton Creek Golf Club (15 minutes), Gulf State Park Golf Course (15 minutes).

Other Activities: 5 minutes from historic Ft. Morgan Civil War Fort

Peaceful Complex with a Great Pool

Just returned from a week stay at Gulf Shores Plantation with my husband and 2 children, ages 3 and 8.Wonderful,pleasant experience at a such a peaceful complex..The condo was very clean,fairly close to the pool and the beach which is wide and beautiful. The pool closest to the condo was HUGE! It had a large shallow end for the little ones as well as 3 or 4 step entries. There was always a nice breeze from the beach. The boardwalk offers a nice,short walk to the beach.
I also like that the Plantation is away from all of the beach traffic. I'd recommend this condo and that area to anyone looking for a vacation spot without alot of traffic and a nice place to relax.Dave was so friendly and constantly kept in touch throughout rental.
