WOW...WHAT A PLACE!!!
I can't even think where to begin. Barbados is a beautiful island inhabited by beautiful people. I was blessed enough to have been offered to stay in one of the most gorgeous homes I had ever seen. I location of the villa is ideal for visitors. It's not far at all from Oistins famous (and delicious) fish fry, the breathtaking Miami (Enterprise) Beach, and busy St. Lawrence Gap (restaurants, bars and clubs). The city of Bridgetown is a quick commute, and filled with glorious shopping destinations. Another plus of staying at the villa was the convenience of the airport being 15 minutes away. And the house...what a place. The house is huge with spacious bedrooms, large and numerous bathrooms, relaxing patio with the breeze flowing through your hair and master room with jacuzzi...hello jacuzzi!!! what more can you ask for! The food was absolutely scrumptious. My husband got hooked on fish cakes...if you visit barbados and stay at Blue Bayou villa, maybe you will be lucky enough to sample the tasty little morsels! The freshness of all of the local dishes was phenominal and everything melted in your mouth! One thing, rent a car and drive all over the island. My husband and I were lucky enough to be driven around to see the countryside, which was amazing. Getting out of the hotel scene and actually going and shopping into the local villages and towns is tons of fun. The views and sights you see along the way keep your fingers busy because you will try to take a picture of everything you come across. Our trip to Barbados was long overdue and greatly appreciated.
Why spend money to stay in a hotel in one room, when you can spend the same amount or even less and stay in a huge house! Blue Bayou is FABULOUS!
I got married on this island and I was fortunate enough to spend time with the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Harewood, and they made our wedding one of the most spectacular events of our lives. Barbados will definately hold a special place in our hearts and we plan on frequently visiting the island and staying at the Blue Bayou villa.
A Lifetime of Memories... Thank You
