Perfect beach and rest holiday

We were always surprised by how well thought out things were in this house. It is well decorated. With the views onto land and landscaping, and with a large patio, it felt big enough at all times, but we were also still close to one another. The house is far enough away from the main road that we heard none of that traffic noise, ever! It's located far from the madding crowd, and yet still close enough to Wellfleet and several great beaches reachable by bike. The site is cute, with a "kayak barn" next door, where we stored our bikes and parked our car near to as well -- not in your main sight lines, but still real close. We always felt at home, but better... since at the end of our week we were incredibly well rested! We grilled fish on the barbecue every night -- mostly from the Mac's fish store within walking distance at Jam's corner, that same corner where they give live music performances every Thursday evening. We enjoyed meeting Mary and David who made sure our stay at the cottage went fine.

Owner's Response: David and I feel grateful that renting our "Hummingbird" Cottage to vacationers has been a positive experience. We are always seeking ways to make a person's vacation more memorable. In our own kitchen window we have a Hummingbird feeder to watch the Hummingbirds feed from April into early Fall. We put the same kind of feeder in the kitchen window of the cottage, and everyone who has stayed there has commented on the thrill of seeing Hummingbirds close up (maybe for the first time). It keeps you close to nature at all times.
