Santa Cristina de Aro Vacation Rental : Santa Cristina D'aro

Following a simple 45 minute drive from the airport we arrived at the gated villa in Sa Tuna. We were immediately impressed with the villa and the facilities. Our immediate thought was that the photographs and description within the Holiday rentals web site did not adequately reflect how nice the villa actually was. The complimentary drinks chilled in the fridge were very much appreciated as we took in the late evening air on the vast terrace, and cooled off in the lovely floodlight pool.

The whole area around Sa Tuna is dotted with small coves and beaches which are easily accessed by foot along coastal footpaths or by car if venturing further a field. The quality and elegance of villas which are located along the coastline add to the charm and the sophisticated feel of the area.

Venturing on trips inland, we experienced a stunning, productive landscape with beutiful old villages dotted about on prominent hills, and in the distance the backdrop of the impressive mountains.

Our first visit to Barcelona was one which we thoroughly enjoyed. We drove to the nearest station to us and took the 1 hour 30 minute train into Barcelona. The tour bus service is a must for anyone with too much to see and too little time to do see it in.

We visited the home of Salvador Dali’s wife at the castle in Pubol. The journey to Pubol is lovely and the castle museum itself was unforgettable

On the domestic front we did experienced some problems with the hot water and air conditioning system at the villa that were rectified. If you want to enjoy the sea and the local scenery or wish to explore the cities and the surrounding countryside, the area has a great deal to offer. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sa Tuna and we would most definitely recommend the area and our villa at Sa Tuna as an ideal base for a great holiday.
