The photos say it all. This cottage was peaceful and relaxing. The surroundings were beautiful and the cottage itself was clean and well organized. It had everything needed for either a short or long-term stay. My husband and I found it to be quite cozy and inviting. The owners were available but not intrusive. We could get to the city center and surrounding cities with ease and found many fun things to do. We very much enjoyed the goody basket we found on arrival and would recommend this place to anyone. It is much better than any hotel you would find and at half the cost! All in all I would say go, stay, enjoy.

Beautiful Cottage to stay in

My husband and I stayed at the Agateland Cottage for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. We have used VRBO at least 10 times and have never been disappointed but we were not sure how this would be having the cottage in the back yard of the owners. It worked out perfect, we enjoyed visiting with the owners who provided us some great tips of places to see in our journey looking for a place to possibly move.

As for the cottage itself, it is wonderful, perfect for the two of us. Clean and very nicely decorated. The bed and linens were very nice. Overall it was a great stopping place for our travels. We will definitely stay here again when traveling through Medford.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, People with Disabilities

Agateland cottage was just right

My husband & I spent a wonderful week at the Agateland cottage. The cottage is centrally located in Medford with easy access to the I-5. There was a variety of shopping and the Medford information center close by. For the first time, we stayed in a home that had everything we needed. The kitchen was spacious and well stocked with dishes and appliances. It even included some basic food condiments and a lovely gift basket of fruit and snacks. The unit was spotless and extremely quiet. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of storage. The bath had everything we needed including a hairdryer. The owner was friendly and helpful. We will be back every year.

A perfect place to stay.

This is our second time staying at Agate Cottage. This place doesn't even compare with any hotel/motel room, the Agate Cottage is in a class of it's own. We couldn't be any more pleased with our stay. It is so nice to stay at a place that is clean and provides for your every need. It is quiet and the bed is extremely comfortable. We were able to shop locally for meals and we cooked and ate in. Our son even decided to make brownies in the oven. It was great to not have to pack a lot of extra clothes with the washer and dryer available in the cottage.

While I attended classes, my husband & son went golfing, sight-seeing and fishing. We plan to stay here anytime we are in the area. Mark and Debbie (Owners) are always so welcoming and have great tips of where to eat and things to see. Thanks again.

We had a great stay!

Agateland cottage was easily wheelchair accessible, except the kitchen sink area. Whellchair accessibility is at the top of my list as I am a quadriplegic and I had no problems at all here. The owner was very accurate and honest about the property description. The cottage was nice and clean and beautifully decorated--we felt welcomed and pampered! Clearly, the owner put thought into added extras. A basket of fresh fruit and candies was on the table for us upon arrival, and those little items that are easy to forget at home, like zip lock bags and laundry detergent, were available to us in logical, easy to find locations.
We went to Ashland's Lithia park and followed the beautiful trail along the creek; we shopped at stores in Ashland--but several were dimmly lit and hard to navigate in a wheelchair. We also drove to Crater Lake where the rim is wheelchair accessible. It was beautifu! It was a long drive with few restrooms, so be prepared for that.
We loved our accomodations at Agateland and highly recommend it. We had a great stay!
