The 1883 Whitaker - Huntingdon Inn overlooks beautiful 32 acre Forsyth Park and its historic fountain. The Inn is located on the southwestern corner of Whitaker and Huntingdon Streets and faces the 1853 historic water fountain located on the north end of Forsyth Park and it is only walking distance from historic attractions, shops and restaurants. Currently two - 2 bedroom suites are available with queen size poster beds. One suite has a queen size sleeper sofa. Both suites have a private bath and kitchen. Staying here you will get the feel of luxury, history, and relaxation. Parking is free just outside the inn. We also have another unit that can sleep 6. There is a queen air mattress if you need that as well. If you would like to spend time at the historic district and the beach we have accommodations at both locations.

There are so many things to love about Savannah GA. The history of our town is wonderful. We have activities here year round from arts and craft shows, antique shopping, sight seeing, horse and carriage rides, trolley tours of our haunted downtown Savannah. Lots of fun for the whole family.

This was a wonderful place to stay. Across from Forsyth Park and walking distance to everything. We had a great time here.

Lovely Place to stay

Everything about our stay was perfect except the bathroom situation. We were on the second floor. The 2 bedrooms are very large and comfortable. TV's in each room. I enjoyed sitting at the table with my hot tea and coffee (which was provided), watching the joggers pass by and the beautiful trees at the window. The fountain at Forsyth park is right across the street, and the have a play ground for the kids. Parking was not an issue. The kitchen had everything we needed. The only problem was the shower had very low water pressure, and it is a claw foot tub with a shower curtain so it was hard for us to shower without the curtain sticking to us. This proved to be a real problem. If this were fixed we would love to stay here again. Can't beat the price!
