The Cote d'azur offers many activities and from the property it can be experienced at its very best, with the beauty of the surrounding hilltop villages and the Loup valley on your doorstep, with the many sporting activities that the immediate area offers, but the hustle and bustle of Nice (20 minutes by car) and Cannes(25m) far enough away to allow you the tranquillity and Peace of this beautiful region but close enough to enjoy the beaches, shopping and sightseeing that the coast has to offer. There are olive presses and provencal markets close by. The perfumeries of Grasse 10 minutes away.     We provide a general clean at the end of each rental period in readiness for the next client but we expect the property to be left in the same clean condition as upon arrival.If you do not want to do the final clean, this can be arranged in advance
    Bed linen is changed on a weekly basis, but towels are laundered by the client.
    Catering and extra cleaning by prior arrangement.

Lovely holiday villa

We had a lovely stay at this great holiday gite, and didnt want to leave. Very comfortable, well equipped and with sky TV and DVDs to watch. The owners left us a welcome basket of food, bread and eggs, jam, juice and a bottle of wine, and as we were late to arrive this was very much appreciated.
The pool, terraces and gardens are lovely, the property has palm trees and olive trees and the setting is very pretty and tranquil. It is a very well located villa between Grasse and Vence, and close to Nice airport (30 minutes) We visited Cannes for shopping, and went across the border to Italy to St REMO market(about 90 minutes) So great base for sightseeing. We visited Valbonnes Friday market and had a lovely morning there, finishing with pizza lunch in the car free square in the cafe des arcades. We also visited Le Jarrerie restaurant, 5 minutes away in Bar sur loup, which was a family run provencal restaurant, and had a lovely meal. It was our anniversary and we also went to 'La Colombe d'or ' in St paul de vence on the recommendation of the gites owners. It was an evening to treasure.
The owners were on hand during ours stay and provided us with lots of local info and recommendations for places to visit and were very helpful. We have already reserved for next year as we felt so at home here and there was so much to do and see and we just didn't have enough days to do it.

Have stopped with Laura and Mac on 4 occasions on the cottage and once on the main house.The 4 times in La Caleche were June 04.05 06 and Aug04 and in 07 with them at their main house.
Why do we keep going back?
For a lot of reasons,too many to list but here are a few to help.
The location is just perfect away from the busy coastal areas but you can soon be in all the main resorts and glitz of Cannes and Monaco within 30- 40 mins.A car is a must to get around and to get the shopping at the 2 local supermarkets, both have all you need and try the local Rose wine as we have on too many occasions!!
For the kids 2 pools both with safety fences, so no worries for parents of toddlers We couldnt get our daughter out once she was in!!, and she also loved the Aqua park in Antibes and Marineland who put on great shows with Killer whales and Dolphins.
Great beaches all within 30 mins,we enjoy Juan Le Pains,Cannes and Cap D'Antibes amongst others,all with bars who serve good food if you dont take butties!!
The location of the property is just stunning,a total relaxation and you soon forget about work
Many a happy hour has been spent just relaxing by the pool and sitting out at night,or in one of the lovely villages,St Paul,Gourdon,Valbonne and Bar sur Loup all within 15 mins for some great restaurants.
We would reccommend a stay with Laura and Mac to anybody as they have found the right recipe here,as much or as little info and advice as you need,1 memorable night getting a Mial on Sunday reporter slightly drunk springs to mind,spotless accomodation,great hosts in a beautiful setting,it certainly ticks all the right boxes

We enjoyed 2 nice weeks in France at your property!
The place is very central for outings and you gave us a very good help and service during our stay. The supermarkets and restaurants we can generally recommend.
Please take care in the future with the dishes for 6 persons, it is too few (parts are missing, like egg cups, coffe cups,...)

We stayed at the cottage and had a lovely time. It is in a lovely peaceful position, with nice views across the gardens and countryside, and is very clean and comfortable, and just a quick transfer from Nice airport. The children loved the pool area, and we spent alot of our time there, barbequeing and relaxing round the pool and terraces. The owners were very helpful and attentive and even booked a few local restaurants for us, and helped us when our car broke down. We enjoyed going to Marineland in Antibes, and watching the dolphins and whales shows. We also enjoyed visiting Cannes during the Film festival, and spotted Paris Hilton and Brad Pitt! Thanks for a really memorable and very happy holiday.

Just returned from a really lovely stay at this beautiful property. My family had rented the main house (also beautiful) and I stayed in La Caleche with my husband and two children. This charming cottage was spacious and comfortable and we even accomodated two of the kids friends a few nights as there was plenty of room. The kitchen was well equipped and the whole place was in lovely grounds in a green peaceful setting.
The cottage was clean and comfortable and I would have no hesitation in recommending La Caleche to friends and family.
Just perfect!
