Our 'Sandpiper at Shipwatch' villa is the most wonderful place to spend your summer vacation this year! Bring the kids and the grandparents - there is plenty of room for up to 6 people to sleep (1 king and 2 queen beds). The 'Sandpiper' is oceanfront on Kiawah's West Beach and only 19 miles from historic downtown Charleston. It is just steps away from the Atlantic Ocean (fall asleep with the sound of the surf), and within a short walking distance to golf, tennis, shopping and restaurants. Our second floor Shipwatch villa offers a wonderful view of the Atlantic Ocean from the living room and both bedrooms. Step out onto either of the oceanfront decks and enjoy the fresh sea air breezes. Enjoy sitting on the deck in one of our four counter-height teak chairs sipping a frozen drink and watching the ocean. Completely renovated and professionally decorated with heavy custom puddling drapery (southern charm), designer furniture and colors, hardwood floors and granite countertops.

The 'Sandpiper' is fully furnished with utensils, pots & pans, new appliances, IPod dock, CD player (with CD's) and a TV and DVD player in the living room. Across the hall there is a community washer/dryer. The beach is just an elevator ride away! The 'Sandpiper' villa accommodates up to 6 people. No smoking or pets are permitted. My husband and I live in an historic home in downtown Charleston. We wanted to get away for his 41st birthday and came upon this site. We are extremely picky when it comes to accommodations. We were elated when we walked into the Sandpiper! The cleanliness and decor superseded our expectations. I am an interior designer and love the peaceful ocean colors and cottage furniture in the Sandpiper! The owners took a lot of time in every detail and it shows. The condo is equipped with anything you might need and so clean. The views are amazing! We would recommend the Sandpiper to anyone and hope to return to Kiawah very soon!

Villa is SUPERB! Upon arrival, they had lights on and soft music playing. Decorated extremely well and beds were super comfortable! Great to be able to fall asleep hearing the waves lapping up on the shore! A MUST stay!! I was able to capture professional-like pictures of spectacular sunrises from the balcony! :)

Upon arriving on Kiawah and entering our condo, we were greeted with soft music and chocolates on our pillows. What a warm welcome! The condo was beautiful, spotless, and appeared exactly as depicted in the website photographs; we were thrilled. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the oceanfront and genuinely hated to leave. Two days after returning, I am already nostalgic for this gorgeous setting.

Wonder ful spot with all amenties to cook in.Free accecess to laundry room. Very clean and well maintained.The only draw back I notice because of the way the building is built there is some over head walking noise. Short walk out to the beach or bike ride to a path. Nice walking beach. You do need a car to go out for dinner in the area and to go into charleston. I recommend aways call ahead any day of the week for dinner resverations.The good restaurants book up quick. Rented from Kiawah Island getaway very nice and helpful couple.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway
