Photos and Description of the Port Clyde vacation house rental sleeps 6, 2 twin beds and 2 queen beds, 2 full bathrooms

Port Clyde is a small fishing village at the end of the St George peninsula located on the mid-coast of Maine. Whether you like to just hang around the beach, take the kids to the playground, bike up to the tennis courts, or explore Monhegan Island for the day, it's all here. Don't forget to visit the famous 'Forrest Gump' lighthouse. Or you can take a drive to Rockland and visit it's many wonderful galleries, museums and restaurants. At the house, you enter in to a large mud room area, lots of room to store those bicycles, etc. and laundry. Up a flight of stairs to an open living/dining room and kitchen with everything you could need to prepare a nice dinner or just to relax with a book or movie after a great meal on the Dip Net Restaurant's waterfront deck (a 3 minute walk). There is a queen bedroom and full bath on this level. Upstairs there is another queen bedroom, 2 twin beds and a sitting area with TV and a full bath. All beds have new mattresses with luxury bedding.

Port Clyde House is a perfect place to enjoy all that coastal Maine has to offer. Port Clyde retains the charm of a small fishing village, with many activities like kayaking, beach combing, fishing, sailing and exploring just to name a few. Of course there are the restaurants and Village Ice Cream! A 20 min. drive takes you to all that the Rockland area has to offer. This historic city has its own charm with many wonderful art galleries, shops, museums, great restaurants and a coffee house that roasts its own beans! It's also the home of the famous Lobster Festival, Boats and Harbors show and the North Atlantic Blues Festival. There are 3 golf courses, movie theaters, bowling, live music or you can cruise on a schooner. Minutes from downtown Rockland there are many hiking trails of varying difficulties with fantastic views of the lakes, ponds, hills and coastline. With so many choices of things to do, the beauty of the area and its people, it makes for a wonderful vacation spot.
