Relax in our 4 bed, 3 bath home on half an acre in the amenity-filled Hideout community. The house is a 2 minute walk to lake and 5 minute walk to main lodge area where you will have full access to the main beach, pool, tennis courts, Tikki Bar, snack bar and boat rentals.

Our 2,100 square foot, 3 level home on half an acre includes:

• Hot tub - outside, covered from the weather with great views

• A modern kitchen with new appliances and plenty of counter space

3 family vacation

Every year our family gets together in one place to as my sister and I call it play the "Waltons". Over 16 years we have gone to many places some places we have revisited and others we have put on the do not return with many laughs. But this house was great it gave each family a sense of space and the community itself gave us all plenty of things to do. It's quiet and peaceful and close to many attractions. The fact that there is a bathroom on every floor is great. The dining room could seat all 9 of us so we could eat as a family.
The pool table looked nice we don't actually play pool. We actually played games at night or watched tv. Hot tub was great very clean.
The house was clean and tidy as was the yard.
There are a lot of deer but they are little in NY our deer are a lot bigger.
They had great security you see them patrol the area frequently.
We would highly recommend this house to anyone with children or without it is very family friendly as is the community.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Great weekend getaway!

My fiance and I stayed at this house for a weekend getaway. The house was exactly as described on the site. We found it very cozy, clean and homey feel. It rained Friday and Saturday so we just relaxed around the house. Friday night went in the hot tub, which was sooo relaxing and then sat in front of the fire. On Saturday morning we made waffles and coffee (house had a waffle maker and coffee pot) and watched some movies and played games (great pool table). We were looking forward to BBQing and were able to despite the rain because it was shielded from the rain- which was so great! On Sunday the sun finally came out and we went to Ritter's Market nearby and got some apples, delicious donuts and cider. Overall, it was a great weekend. Check-in at the front gate was very easy and staff seemed helpful when we asked for directions. Highly recommend this property.

Family Vacation

The description of the location, layout, and amenities were accurate. There were 7 adults and 2 children in our party. The house is very spacious and accommodated all of us without any problems. We visited Claws and Paws, which all of us enjoyed. However, we would not recommend wasting time to drive to see the Houdini attraction as we did. It is in a house located in a questionable neighborhood that we did not feel comfortable with and did not go in. We did find Muggs Restaurant on our trip back and had a very nice lunch. The kids had one disappointment and that was they didn't get to fish. Please let out of state visitors know that adults and children must have Pennsylvania Fishing License to fish at the Hideout. We would recommend this property for families. The pool and beach are within walking distance. A second beach is within a short driving distance from the house. We had a great and relaxing family vacation. Thanks for sharing your property with us.

Nice sized house - but community is abnoxious!

I just stayed at this house with my family. Overall, it was great, although there are several minor things that should be fixed...such as the bathroom door upstairs, the towel rack (or hole in the wall) in the bathroom on the main floor and several spackled holes that need to be painted. Again, not a big deal - but still these things should be addressed. Also, the bathrooms were all dirty...I don't know what the cleaning fee goes toward???? The last thing is the staff at the Hideout - from the security guard to the attendant at the ski hill were all very rude and not helpful at all - you would think we were bothering them by trying to check in! This is my second and last stay at the Hideout - but the house is nice for the money...
Owner's Response: We are pleased that another family had a great time ‘overall’ at our home and rated it 4/5.

We encourage families to notify us of any issues so that they can be addressed immediately. My property manager, who takes care of my house and many others in The Hideout, is on location and extremely responsive. Should anything need attention, our ‘team’ is a phone call (and few minutes) away. The minor issues that the renter mentioned have been fixed.

For those considering staying at our home, or any others in the Hideout community, I hope one person's experience does not dissuade you from enjoying all that this top-notch community has to offer. My family and friends have always found the staff to be courteous and friendly. While I do not question the validity of the renter’s criticism, I do understand that there are usually two sides to every story.

My family and I have welcomed many guests to our home and all have had a great time and often come back for more.
