A beautiful one of a kind cottage located streamside at a cool and refreshing elevation of 2500'. Imagine yourself relaxing in a mountain setting, gently swaying to and fro on a porch swing as your ears delight in the sounds of rushing water, and as your eyes savor the view of a crystal clear mountain stream cascading over rocks and swirling through deep pools. Access to the property is motorcycle friendly with a paved road that leads to a short gravel driveway. Bryson City is nearby with charming mountain shops, restaurants, the Great Smokey Mountain Rail Road Train Ride, and tubing on Deep Creek in the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. Many white-water rafting outfitters are less than 16 miles away on the Nantahala River. Fly fishermen have access to some of the best streams located in the Eastern United States. Motorcyclists are a short ride from the Deal's Gap Dragon, The Cherohala Skyway, and The Blue Ridge Parkway. Beautiful memories await you at Creekside Cottage.

The Bryson City area of Western North Carolina is nestled against the Great Smoky Mountain National Park on the quieter side of the Smokey Mountains. This area is host of many seasonal festivals. And during the summer months mountain music is enjoyed at the Bryson City depot on most Saturdays. Thrill seekers can float the white-water of the Nantahala River to the take out at the Nantahala Outdoor Center, or ride a Jet Boat on Lake Fontana. Kayakers and fly fishermen enjoy the area's rich natural water resources (Lake Fontana, Nantahala River, Tuckaseegee River, Little Tennessee River, Hazel Creek, Eagle Creek, Nolan Creek, and Deep Creek). Cherokee is a short drive and offers shops, a museum, and a historical play (Unto These Hills) about the Cherokee people.

Now this is a RETREAT!

Three couples plus children, ages 8-19 spent one of the most relaxing vacations ever here. Even the teenagers said it was one of our best ever family vacations. The young kids loved playing in the creek. The older ones enjoyed the cold "swimming hole" up the road. We read lots of books, played games, fished, went tubing at Deep Creek, watched fireworks in Bryson City, made ice cream, roasted weiners, even pitched tents in the yard for the kids. The cabin is very comfortable...a great place to get away from it all.

Awesome is all i can say about this place. We were a little disapointed at first that we had neighbors on both sides but then soon realized this was trivial because everything about this place was awesome. Great fishing up and down the creek( Meal worms work great) Great waterfalls close by and Deep creek is an awesome place to go tubing. Just up Alarka rd there is an awesome swimming hole to enjoy on a warm summer day. Also waterfalls was a great place to propose.She said Yes
Owner's Response: She said yes! This is the first ever recorded engagement of guests while staying at Creekside. It is our hope that it is not the last, and that in the years to come many others will be just as thrilled with the accomodations and all that the area has to offer.

We love this place so much that we are frequent guests. It feels like we are going to "Granny's "everytime we go. The kids love the creek and the bon fires are the best!
