HOOPER HOUSE IS A ONE WEEK MIN. RENTAL, SATURDAY TO SATURDAY Welcome to our classic New England Cape nestled in enchanting Rockport Village. A perfect location, close to shops, fine restaurants, beaches and the train. Enjoy all that Rockport has to offer and leave your car parked at the house. We have a fully equipped modern kitchen with breakfast bar, a large but cozy living room, a sunny dining room, 3 bedrooms and 1 ½ baths. The private backyard is perfect for relaxing, or playing. There is cable TV and Wireless Internet service. Rockport is about 35 miles north of Boston on the tip of Cape Ann, surrounded on 3 sides by the Atlantic Ocean. The lighting in Rockport has attracted artists from all over the world to paint. Our most famous subject is Motif #1, the red fishing shack in Rockport Harbor. It proudly bears the lobster buoys of retired and lost lobstermen and women. The heart of Rockport is only 3 miles from Gloucester, the oldest seaport and fishing village in America!

We have just returned from a wonderful time at Hooper House. It helped that we seemed to choose the best week for weather, but the house was also excellent. Everything had been thought of, from chairs to take down to the beach, to lots of information on where to go. The location was perfect- we walked into Rockport most evenings, and took the train into Boston, rather than have to think about parking. The town of Rockport is charming. The house itself was very light and clean, with plenty of space. We had a family of 4 staying there, with an extra guest for 2 nights, but it would take 6 people easily. We would highly recommend this lovely property. The raft by one of the beaches was a great success with our teenage sons!

I have rented a few houses in the past - mostly on Cape Cod. I have never found a house to be so well equipped and so clean and neat. The description was accurate, and we had a great vacation.
I tell everyone about Home Away and recommend it because I find it to be so helpful, detailed, easy to read, informative and has so many clear pictures too.

Great house in a great town.

We stayed a week in this Rockport home in March 2009. The property was exactly as described and MORE! Great neighborhood and fantastic neighbors. Everything was very clean and beds were super comfortable. Close to everything and there's a Kodak moment everywhere you look in Rockport. Internet was fast, kitchen was well equipped, plenty of seating in living room and for dining. Andee was always available by phone and was very helpful in providing suggestions on where to eat and what to see. Would highly recommend this property!

We spent 10 days based at this wonderful Cape Ann home. It is in a fabulous location, quiet and off the tourist trail, yet its really easy to walk into town, to the local beaches, to the train station (an hour to Boston) and to the local IGA supermarket The kitchen is superbly equipped, the sitting space is both stylish and comfortable and the bedrooms are all well appointed with really comfy beds! The property was spotlessly clean and well maintained and the owner, Andee, was friendly and helpful as were the neighbours. The only downside would be for those with very small children or more elderly relatives as the stairs are very wide and steep. We were spoiled for choice with the local restaurants - The 'Fish Shack' was great as was the Blacksmiths shop and restaurant'. The 'Red Skiff' is really good for breakfast and the whale watching tour in Gloucester should not be missed. We are not ones for repeating holidays however here we will make an exception - we will return and will want to stay in Hooper House again - and we will strongly recommend it to friends and family.
