Well, I must say that I have never cried leaving a place before. We have traveled all over including Kenya and Belize, many cities in Europe and in multiple states in the US, and as much as I enjoy the trips, I am always ready to go home. Not this time! I already love Santa Fe so much, but this absolutely incredible home in the foothills took it to a whole new level. The stunning setting, multiple decks, and breathtaking views are more incredible than we have ever experienced. Inside, the tastefully decorated rooms, comfortable beds, numerous seating areas and reading nooks, and of course all of the incredible art made it feel like we were staying in a museum. Carol and Stephen, your love of that home, and of Santa Fe, is so apparent, and we share it with you. I am so grateful that you are willing to share your home. I don't think I would be able to trust others in it if it were mine.
All 8 of us enjoyed making meals in the well-stocked kitchen and taking in the sunrises and sunsets on the decks. Watching the birds at the feeders was a treat. A short 15 minute drive into town for anything you could need, but then to come home to this amazing place, away from it all, was pure heaven on earth. My only disappointment is that I can never again experience walking into this home for the first time! What fun to walk through the rooms, up and down staircases, thrilled to find THREE beautiful master bedrooms, so no one felt shorted here!! The owners, Carol and Stephen, are wonderful people who were so patient, understanding, and flexible with our frequently-changing arrival date. To top it off, my mother left her sweaters in a drawer at their house, and she was so amazed when they showed up at her house! Not many people would go to the trouble to send those back. Suffice to say that the town, the surroundings, the owners, and this house, are all top-notch. You will NOT be disappointed. We are already trying to figure out when we can go back. Thank you, again, for being willing to share this magical place with others.
