2 studios each sleeping 4 , 3 minutes from beach, with pool

On the south side of the island between Gran Tarajal and Tarajalejo, the small quiet fishing village of Giniginamar is a jewel of white houses set on a black sandy beach under an azure blue sky!!

Get away from it all here where there is no mass tourism, no high rises, or noisy beach bars to disturb the peace and quiet of this tranquil setting. What you DO get is the best of the island - unspoilt stretches of beach and countryside, magnificent views, friendly locals and clear water. The studios are just a few minutes walk from the village or the beach and and have access to a lovely pool. Both are open plan with a separate bathroom (with bath, bidet, WC). (Sleeping area screened from the living area by a half height wall for privacy which maintains an open aspect). Compact and well designed. Everything you need without being cramped.

Studio Helen is first floor with magnificent unspoilt panoramic view to the sea, Studio Jill is ground floor with direct access to pool.

Restaurants: Within a few minutes walk is a wonderful restaurant run by a friendly German couple who also speak Spanish and English. They offer a variety of cuisines, German cooking as well as traditional canarian dishes.

In the village itself (about 4 minutes walk) is the local bar with plenty of authentic local atmosphere where you can sample typical canarian dishes including fresh fish and a drink or two. The setting is superb and you will literally be sitting right on the beach where you can watch the fishermen bringing in their catch and be close enough to toss a pebble in the sea!!

There is also another friendly cafe bar for a lesser snack or ice cream overlooking the village games court.

There are no facilities in the village for shopping - which is the price you pay for a quiet environment but in Gran Tarajal, the next village along, you can find all the supermarkets and shops for anything you might need.

For this reason we recommend guests to hire a car, so that they are independent and can take advantage of what the island has to offer.

The climate of Fuerteventura is very mild, with temperatures usually between 20-25 degrees no matter what the time of year. Just a jumper and trousers for winter evenings and you should be fine! Rainfall is very little and usually only lasts a couple of hours at the most.

For shopping, water sports centres and more restaurants the town of Gran Tarajal is just 15 minutes away by car from Giniginamar. This is one of the biggest towns on the island since at one time all the tomatoes from the island were shipped from here! This is a pretty un-touristy town but has all the services you may need.

For walkers, a stroll along the cliffs from the village to Gran Tarajal is good (4km).

Las Playitas is another pretty village nearby with more eating out opportunities.

With car you have access to the many wonderful beaches and spectacular scenery that Fuerteventura offers. No crowds here! Giniginamar gives you the 'get away from it all' feel without the need for a 4x4 vehicle.

Just a brief line to say how much we enjoyed the two weeks we spent in your apartment in Giniginamar, Fuerteventura. The apartment is in a beautiful, quiet location and the elevated position gives a wonderful view of the entire bay from the balcony. It was great to find such a lovely apartment in a little village away from the usual tourist resorts. We enjoyed an extremely relaxing holiday away from the crowds. We also enjoyed some excellent meals at the small restaurant down by the beach. We hope to return in January/February 2006.

We had a lovely break at Fuerteventura. We loved your place, the peacefullness and quiet surroundings, having long breakfasts and relaxing dinners at the terrace with great views. We sure will come back and we are already telling all our friends about how much we enjoyed staying at your place. Please, never ever sell this plplace, but if you do, contact us before!
Thank you very much again for your share in our great holiday!!

J'ai passé un séjour très agréable qui maleureusement se termine...........

L'appart etait tres bien, la résidence c'est bien aussi, ma fille s'est baignée tous les jours pendant es vacances de noél mais moi non, un peu fraiche.....

Pour la peche, je confirme qu'il y a des poissons, je vous joins l'image..................
Dés que je refais surface sur l'ile l'adresse est gravée

Giniginamar - quiet and unspoiled in February

We found this apartment easily. It was clean, well provided for exactly as described, including a teapot and a toaster!! The owner went out of her way to make sure we had everything we wanted. The complex was clean and beautifully maintained. The small village boasts a lovely bar right on the beach with friendly staff. Very peaceful in February!
