Additional information about rental rates

  • Rental rates include all taxes, cleaning and gratuity
  • A 50% deposit is due within 10 days of reserving to hold the week. The remaining 50% is due 30 days prior to arrival date along with $250 security deposit. The security deposit is returned within 2 weeks of departure. Should cancellation be necessary, we charge a $75.00 flat fee. If the cottage can be rebooked for that week, all funds will be returned, less the $75.00 flat fee. If the cottage cannot be rebooked, all funds paid will be forfeited less the security deposit. We will provide a rental agreement at time of reservation. Check-in time is 3:00pm EST Friday and check-out is 10:00am EST the following Friday.

Comforts of home, only better!

The Little Red Cottage was the perfect place for our end of summer getaway. The location is fantastic - just 40 steps from South Haven's North Beach. Cottage has views of the lake and fantastic sunsets.

The cottage was extremely comfortable, with all the true comforts of home. Beautifully and simply decorated spot with indoor and outdoor seating areas. Linens, kitchen supplies, a great gas grill almost made me forget that I wasn't at home.

Pluses: location, views, tv, DVD, Internet access, decor, laundry, kid friendly bedroom.

Minuses: uncomfortable bed in master bedroom, no wireless internet access, no blinds for glass doors (bit of a fish bowl), only 4 beds - so obvious sleeping arrangements for 4 adults & 2 bunks for kids.

Overall, the Little Red Cottage was all that we could have hoped for and more. Just a beautiful, clean, well appointed, comfortable rental in a gorgeous location. We've been spoiled for all future visits!

Tip: Bring bikes to manage local errands and seeing town and leave the car parked!

Minuses: bed comfort,

We LOVE this little cottage and will be returning again and recommending it to all of our friends! Everything was brand spanking new and worked great - our group always chose to convene at the cottage because everyone liked to be there so much! What a beautiful place to get relaxed!

Little Red Cottage Big Fun

We stayed at the Little Red Cottage for a get away from the East side in August. Everything was as described except the view; which was hampered by new construction. Still, it was a magnificent. The location was but a stone's throw from the rippling waves of Lake Michigan and a good walk or short drive to downtown South Haven. The interior of the cottage was shiny new and just as detailed. It was perfect for our small two families (4 adults and 3 kids under 12). The decor was sublime and the small touches such as toiletry baskets, kids' games, local brochures, kid-friendly paper products and cooking essentials helped us really feel at home during our stay.
