Outstanding Winter Vacation

Our family stayed at the cabin over Christmas 2009. What a wonderful experience. When we arrived, NC had just experienced the most snow in more than 20 years. However, upon our arrival, the drive was completely cleared (better than I had ever seen before) and the owners met us to show us around. We had a great time hiking and skiing at the nearby resort.

We absolutely loved the cabin and the kitchen which allowed to make our own meals and save quite a bit. We'd definitely recommend this cabin to others. It proved to be a wonderful and picturesque (I do have the photos to prove it too) family vacation. Thank you Jose and Nancy for the wonderful hospitality you showed!

Fun memorial day weekend

My family had a delightful stay at this spacious cabin. We stayed over the Memorial Day holiday and the owners were fantastic. They met us at the cabin to show us around and provided plenty of information about restaurants and things to do.

We enjoyed the convenience of having a kitchen to make some breakfast in the morning and the gas fireplace on cool evenings. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is there. We had an easy commute to downtown Asheville and were situated between a variety of outdoor activities. I got a guidebook that told us about some trails and waterfalls that are off-the-beaten path. We had a fantastic time taking some easy hikes.

Just one warning, the upstairs loft was open to the living room below so could be a bit noisy if someone decides to go to bed early and others wanted to watch tv below. But the space and convenience more than makes up for it. I would recommend this place to families looking to be a bit outside the hustle and bustle, but within easy driving distance of Asheville amenities.

Felt like we were home - but with a gorgeous view!

This home was perfect for our family vacation. Both bedrooms had their own bathrooms, the living space was nice and open, the condition was immaculate and it has all the amenities of home (cable tv, fireplace, washer & dryer).

It was easy to go into Asheville when we wanted to but also able to explore other attractions around the area. Quiet neighborhood - nice to sit on the deck and enjoy your morning coffee.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway
