SCENIC SOUTH WOODSTOCK, VERMONT HOME

Our family spent a fantastic week at Apple Hill. The photos do not do justice to how beautiful the house and gardens are. It truly is the perfect retreat for exploring Woodstock and surrounding area. The house was immaculate, yet comfortable and accomodated us all wonderfully. The furnishings and bedding in particular were top quality. My young duaghter loved the large garden and swing-set and we spent many days on the deck, admiring the changing foliage and amazing views. We would recommend visiting Barnard Country Store for a delicious sandwich. A visit to the Simon Pearce Gallery and the Prince and the Pauper for that extra special meal. I really cannot say enough about this property and if you are looking for a stunning property in beautiful surroundings, then this is the one for you. We spent a month at this property and everything was perfect. The home is beautiful, well appointed and maintained. Our family and friends came and went during the month and everyone had privacy and space. The ground floor bedroom, bathroom and office area gave us privacy and convenience while our guests had the upstairs to themselves. The layout of the house is perfect for all ages and activities. The grounds are beautiful and we spent the mornings enjoying the wild life coming into the yard and the humming birds and bees around the flowers while we had our coffee. In the evening we ate our meals on the deck enjoying the breeze from being on top of the hill. The surrounding area is perfect for sightseeing and shopping. I can't imagine finding another rental property as well maintained and stocked with everything you need as Apple Hill. The pictures don't do justice to the house or the property. You would have to stay in a 5 Star hotel to have the same quality of bedding, linens and towels. The kitchen is so well equipped that my family thought I had brought my pots, knives and dishes from home. I needed to be able to work while we were vacationing and the internet connection was fast and the office area convenient yet separate from the family activities.
I would recommend this property with no hesitation and hope to come back again for an even longer stay.

We just got back and had to email you. We had an amazing time! We took much of your advice-- we ended up eating at S Woodstock Country Store 3 or 4 mornings-- fantastic! Besides the food, such a great vibe, everyone was so nice. We went back to the White Cottage again (kids would have pulled for a 3rd time if they could). Went to the pond at Kedron Valley Inn every day except during my reunion when we were at Dartmouth, and ate there on their porch 2 nights. We visited Billings and Sugarbush Farms, hiked the Gorge at Quechee and also made it to the Balloon Festival there. We all couldn't have been happier. Your house was so perfect, everything, the fluffy white towels and effort to make everything so clean and fresh and appealing, and the beautiful gardens and fields. The kids said they had their own private playground (we need to get them out of NYC more often!) The grounds were a great back drop for the many photos I forced the kids to take. THANK YOU!
