Lahaina Vacation Rental house

This house more than exceeded my expectations. In short (if you don't want to read this entire review) the house is worth way more a night than what is asked, especially for Maui. It has one of the best values I have experienced in ALL my travels. I am also a repeat client and I absolutely love it.

It looks better in person than in the pictures online. One of my first reactions was "Wow, It's so clean!'' The kitchen has more things provided than you would expect from a vacation rental. It's like a nice kitchen you'd have back home. Speaking of which, while I was there, I learned that it is Melody's personal house. She gutted and renovated the house almost all by herself. I loved the decor, the colors. Melody herself is prompt, honest, sincere, and a sweetheart. She is really one of those Good People. You can see when you are there, that she's put a lot of time into the house. There are little details that you just don't get from vacation rentals that make you feel at home.
The main bedroom has around 70 or so videos to choose from. There is a wraparound deck that can be used in all weather(although it is mostly sunny in Lahaina which means "Land of the merciless sun''), to sunbath, or enjoy breakfast under a shaded awning. THere are outdoor couches under a shaded area complete with blinds to keep out the sun and accessible right off the bedrooms. Perfect place to read. The bedrooms are very private and quiet. Heavy curtains that are great for blocking out the sun if you are the type to sleep in or take an afternoon nap. There is even enough closet and drawer space to put your things away.

In reference to other reviews, the ''outside bathroom" is not really outside. You have to walk under a covered deck for a quick second to get there. THe bathroom has two parts, a shower room and toilet with sink. Both rooms are lockable and completely indoors and private. I actually preferred this set-up because you can access the bathroom from the hot-tub and beach with-out dragging sand and water through the house. (and the shower has a beautiful skylight, loved it!)
There is no snorkeling gear available. If there was, she should def. charge way more a night which she could get in a heart beat for the value she already provides!
I never heard a rooster crow and I stayed there over a week. If they did it was unobtrusive at most.

We picked this house because it is within easy walking distance of all of the sites in the town of Lahaina and it looked clean. The pictures don't do it justice as it looked better in person...and as an added bonus there is a hot tub. We took advantage of the location by walking into the town and using the marina several times. It is easy to find a great meal only a few minutes away. We recommend Pacific'O. Melody was prompt with her emails and the house has all the necessities including towels and kitchen supplies. It is attached to a small garage apartment that was unobtrusive. One downside that I could perceive is that there is one bedroom that has no bathroom so you have to use a very nice outside bathroom and shower. This wasn't a problem for us.
