If you're into Nature - This is the place for you

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful 2 months at the Nautical Cabin. Every morning began with an eagle sighting, and great shore birds. Some days included dolphins and otters, and even a manatee or two. The view truly was spectacular with amazing sunsets. The kayaking was terrific. A very quiet and friendly neighborhood and comfortable accommodations made it a perfect retreat that we have booked again for next year. The only down side is that the time flew and we did not rebook early enough for next year to get a longer stay. Hey Jeff, if you ever want to sell it, call us. My husband and I had a great experience and look forward to coming back.

Stunning views, incredibly peaceful

  • 5 of 5

At the end of a scenic, winding road through old Florida hardwoods lies this beautiful cabin. Every day the sunset was different and I must've taken a hundred pictures. At sunrise, the water is like glass and sitting outside in the rockers watching the birds was something we did every morning. We brought our own kayak - miles of peaceful solitude on the water. I think that a couple of kayaks along with a map of the waterway would be a small improvement. But really, what a perfect place.

My kids stayed with grandma downstairs and played musical bunk beads - they were in heaven. The kitchen was equipped well-enough to cook a Thanksgiving dinner for 5. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. Homosassa Springs wildlife center is 2 miles down the road and Crystal River and the 3 sisters springs are 15 minutes away.

Jeff answered all my questions and everything was as described. We really had a wonderful family retreat with no distractions and I am grateful that we were able to stay here.

Breathtaking Views

  • 5 of 5

My family and I have been going to Homosassa for years. This was our first time staying in the nautical cabin. Before we made our trip, I can't tell you how nice and responsive the owner, Jeff was to our questions and concerns. I peppered him with questions and he kindly answered each one.

When we made the trip, the house was located in the perfect location. The views from the wrap around porch were the best we have ever had. That was only the start. When we entered in the cabin we were greeted with a nicely decorated and clean accommodations. Everywhere we looked all we could see was that amazing view. Our "almost teenager" loved the privacy of the room downstairs. The home was conveniently located close to boat ramp and to shops. Out of all the years we have been coming to Homosassa, this has been our favorite place to stay.

Home Away from Home

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had a great vacation largely due to Jeff's home Nautical Cabin! Jeff was very attentive to any concerns we had. The location was perfect, relaxing and calm. The small town of Homosassa is unique and quaint and I loved the winding road leading to the home. Mountain feel only on the Gulf! We rented a Pontoon for the day, drove to Venice Beach for the day, went to Clearwater for the day and loved the 589 Toll Road for its ease of use. Jeff's home was perfect for two or large families with plenty of fishing and wildlife appeal. We made a friend (a crane) who joined us every evening on the dock and absolutely loved the afternoon showers to cool off to! Thank you Jeff for this experience and opening your home for Stephen and I!

Warm, rustic cabin with old Florida charm

  • 5 of 5

Thoroghly enjoyed our experience in the Homosassa area. The rental listing does little justice for this well kept and cozy cabin. All the amenities were as good or better than expected. Clean and comfortable beds and linens. Full kitchen, front load washer and dryer, internet and flat screen TVs. This is truly a home away from home.

We experienced the local springs and attractions, all worth while. Be sure to make time to visit Crystal River and the Three Sister Springs a short ride to the north.

We will be back again soon!

Wonderful view! Very peaceful and calming!

Loved seeing the dolphins and the sea otters, not to mention the bald eagles, blue herons, egrets, ducks and lots of other shore birds.

Could have done without the 'no see ums'.
