Located in the heart of Summit County, discover the beauty of Colorado's pristine mountains.
With views of Lake Dillon and mountain peaks by day and the lights of night skiing at the Keystone Ski Resort by night, all from the home's expansive decks, you will find yourself immersed in comfort.
This 5100 square foot home sports eight bedrooms, three of which are masters, two more have queen beds and there are three bunkrooms with a total of ten beds to 'rack and stack' the kids. All bedrooms have cable TV and some have DVD players.
With six bathrooms there is plenty of room for multiple families, family reunions, corporate retreats or large groups of friends looking for fun.
After a long and arduous flight from Sydney, half way across the globe to Silverthorne, our group of 12 were delighted with what we found, after arriving one February evening. Once the shopping was done, everything we might have wanted was there. A choice of kitchens, plenty of refrigerator space, comfortable beds and plenty of room. And in the morning, a most impressive vista! Not to mention, very convenient access to the skiing which is what we had come for! The five cars we had amongst us were easily accommodated, and although we were initially concerned about access in an out if it snowed (which it did!), the local authorities kept the access roads clear. In summary, we'd be back!!
I rented this home for a staff retreat. Thirteen of us stayed at in this spacious home. We took turns cooking meals and everything we needed was at hand including a large gas grill outside. The hot tub was very large and a great way to relax at the end of the day. Great story and warning: Two of us were in the (indoor) hot tub around 10 pm one evening when a very large black bear sauntered up to the window to take a peak at us before moving on. Bear and I were nose to nose - what an amazing sight! Soo, take all the bear warnings seriously! We also saw a beautiful fox passing by several times. The view of the mountains and Dillon Reservoir was gorgeous. I would love to come back for another stay.
This was a great location. To celebrate my parents 50th Wedding anniversary the 7 children and their spouses planned a surprise party. In all there were 8 couples (16 adults) which allowed for a bedroom for each couple. Two were in the bunk room and there was sufficient room and no complaints. There was plenty of room for activities in the main living area to hang out and talk. The outside table on the deck was able to accommodate all of us for meals. Inside we used the table and living area. The kitchen had everything necessary for meals and we used the grill several evenings. It was nice having two full size refrigerators for all of the food. There were no issues and we found the place to be clean and ready for visitors.
We really enjoyed the game room and the pool table was used heavily while there. The jacuzzi was also well used in the evenings. The main living room was a great place to relax as we all watched videos, shared photos and played card and board games.
There are many summer activities close by which included hiking, jogging, mountain biking and a gondola ride at Keystone which was about 15 minutes away. The area was not too crowded for the summer and easy to get around in.
The driveway was large and easily accommodated our five vehicles. We had a great time and I would recommend this to a friend or relative. If we make it back to this area I would definitely stay here in the the future.
The home was very comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances for cooking and eating in. The maintenance crew was very helpful with requests about problems. The home was very warm and we never used the woodstoves because of that. The location was good for several major ski areas and close to shopping and supermarkets. I would recommend this property for large groups because of the layout. Everyone could be together or retreat to their own space with private bath as well. Our family had a great time!
We had 18 family members stay here for 5 nights. Everyone had plenty of space for sleeping, eating, and bathroom showers. Kitchens were stocked with everything we needed. The kids and teenagers were entertained by tvs, pool table, games, and hot tub. Some of the adults enjoyed the sauna too. We were pleased with how close house was to outlet shopping, grocery stores, hiking, biking trails, and fishing! House was clean and comfortable. We would definitely come back for another vacation.
When we arrived on a hot, sunny July afternoon, the house was extremely warm inside, and we were surprised there was no air conditioning. However, when calling the man in charge, he immediately bought several fans that we set in open windows. We found that by leaving the windows open night and day, the house was very comfortable. We learned that most mountain homes in area don't have AC because it is not needed. We could have used a few more rolls of toilet paper. And the remote box code number to garage door did not work, but there was several remote openers we could take with us to use, as well as key. Overall the stay was so much fun and we would definitely rent again here for another vacation! Thank you!
We stayed at this beautiful, clean mountain home for the 4th of July. We had 13 adults and 14 children and had plenty of space to relax. The older kids could play and be loud while still keeping the multiple napping babies in areas where there was no noise at all. It was also great to be able to see the fireworks from the deck on the 4th of July. We were close to town so we could run down for last minute things but still felt secluded. There were trailheads all around for a hike and the view was beautiful. We would definitely suggest this for a family reunion to anyone who wants a nice home and a great area at a really good price.
