Light-filled home in Capitol Hill's vibrant and safe Eastern Market neighborhood -- rated one of America's 10 most livable!
Built in 2003, we have everything you need to enjoy your visit to DC. Ideal for a couple or family, with Aero beds to add sleeping quarters. We take care of the details so you don't feel nickel and dimed -- and can enjoy a hassle-free stay.
Best of all, our central location means no fighting Washington’s traffic snarls, or paying top dollar for parking -- or parking tickets! Nearby: everything you'd want to see in DC:
The US Capitol, Supreme Court and Library of Congress are a 10-minute stroll away.
Head 4 blocks north, through our neighborhood of historic row houses, to get to Metro's direct route to top destinations -- the Smithsonian, the White House, the Washington Convention Center, the new American Indian museum, the FDR and Jefferson Memorials, Ford's Theatre, the International Spy Museum and more are a 10-minute ride away. Or stay on the subway for a bit longer to get to the National Zoo, Arlington National Cemetery, and the Kennedy Center.
To our south are the Washington Nationals' new stadium, the Navy Yard, and US-DOT (the new Transportation Department HQ).
On the way back home, stop at Eastern Market's produce, meat, dairy and flower stalls -- or pop into one of Barracks Row's cafes, bars or restaurants. Several grocery/drug/liquor stores are within walking/driving distance.
Owners are long-time DC residents and neighbors who are happy to answer questions and share tips for visitors.

This was our 2nd visit at this location for a yearly Army Ten Miler family event. This is our favorite place to stay and will be our tequilas place from now on. This is a great location and every convenience you can think of, we walked to museums and metro. Deborah is the best!!
I recently rented this town home for visit to DC with my parents. We have family living in Eastern Market so I wanted to be close to them as well as public transportation. I was initially concerned about the location being that my parents are both in their upper 70's but there was no need to be. This location could not be beat. We enjoyed walking the short distance to the Eastern Market metro stop through a lovely neighborhood. Felt very safe walking around after dark. The town home offered us plenty of space to relax at the end of the day before heading out to dinner. Additionally the owner was very responsive to questions and even quickly fixed a TV issue we had which (and I'm pretty sure we were the cause of the problem!). The kitchen was more than adequate for morning breakfast and one evening we took advantage of the Eastern Market vendors and bought/prepared dinner for five of us. The off-street parking behind the unit was terrific. We didn't need to use a car while in DC (between the metro and Uber it is much easier to just leave the car parked) but it was nice knowing it was parked right there and it was FREE! The town home was very clean and comfortable. Perhaps a tad overcrowded with furnishings but that is the only negative thing I can say. Eastern Market is a very cool part of town with plenty of restaurants/bars/boutiques. I would definitely book this again if my family remains in Eastern Market.
Our family of 5 stayed for 3 nights. The unit is well-equipped/maintained and was comfortable for all of us. The parking for one car in the rear of the complex is a plus and the Eastern Market Metro stop is a convenient walk.
We felt safe in the neighborhood and there are many restaurants to choose from that are within walking distance, across from the Marine Barracks. A huge change in the area from 20 - 25 years ago- all for the better! If your travel during the summer, be sure to attend the Friday Night Parade at the Marine Barracks.
Deborah quickly responded to any questions. It was a pleasure to stay there and we would not have second thoughts about returning.
We just returned from a 5-night stay at the property and couldn't have been happier.
The home is very clean and nicely laid out with ample sleeping space for our family of four (six could sleep here comfortably). The location is perfect, just a few blocks from an orange line metro station that we used to get to the National Mall and White House within minutes. One block over is a street full of great local restaurants and shops. The house is also very convenient to the highway, which we used for trips into Alexandria, Arlington and elsewhere in the region.
Deborah was extremely professional and helpful. She has filled the house with little touches to aid guests -- informational books and maps, items for the kids, Metro cards that can easily be reloaded (we left a few dollars on those, so whoever books next, enjoy!).
I would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Washington, D.C.
We had a great time visiting DC and using this townhouse as our home base. The townhouse was clean and comfortable and big enough for our family--mom, dad, two boys 10 and 8, a toddler, and grandma. The neighborhood was cute and there were lots of great places to eat on 8th Street. The metro was close and very easy to use. ALL of our kids loved the metro. Also, our kids left a cd case with about 20 movies and cds in it and Deb was kind enough to send it to us! Thanks again, Deb. The only thing I would change is the coffee maker. It was not easy to figure out how to use it and it didn't seem to brew very well. Otherwise, we really loved our stay here!
This property is well maintained and the owners gave great customer service. The living level is spacious and comfortable. The upstairs has the 2 bedrooms with on suite baths that are also nice. It would seem difficult to have many more than 6 stay here as extra beds share existing bedrooms or are aero beds on the floor. There were only 3 of us so it suited us fine. Kitchen is well equipped. It is located in a very nice neighborhood within close walking distance to Barracks Row and the Metro line. For a little longer walk you can get to the Capital and the National Mall. Barracks Row has many good restaurants with most offering outside seating. The best place we found was a short walk from the townhouse to a new area called The Yards. We tried one of the restaurants called Kruba DC. The serve Thai food that is delicious and very reasonably priced. The Yards area is on the waterfront and just being developed with many restaurants and a wonderful area for enjoying the waterfront. Check it out and you will enjoy - we were there after dusk so we could enjoy all the pretty lighting. If you want to use the Metro be sure to use a Smartrip Card. It is easy and they offer senior discount cards.
All of the museums of the Smithsonian offer much to see. The Library of Congress may not be on you list, but you should see it if you enjoy beautiful architecture. It was the most beautiful to us.
The people of Washington DC are very friendly and helpful if you need help.
Also enjoy all the beautiful stained glass pieces in the townhouse.
