Head 4 blocks north, through our neighborhood of historic row houses, to get to Metro's direct route to top destinations -- the Smithsonian, the White House, the Washington Convention Center, the new American Indian museum, the FDR and Jefferson Memorials, Ford's Theatre, the International Spy Museum and more are a 10-minute ride away. Or stay on the subway for a bit longer to get to the National Zoo, Arlington National Cemetery, and the Kennedy Center.
To our south are the Washington Nationals' new stadium, the Navy Yard, and US-DOT (the new Transportation Department HQ).
On the way back home, stop at Eastern Market's produce, meat, dairy and flower stalls -- or pop into one of Barracks Row's cafes, bars or restaurants. Several grocery/drug/liquor stores are within walking/driving distance.
