Relaxing Retreat by the Lake

This place was great. It allowed my daughters to have their own rooms with tv's (important to teens), and bring our family pet along as well. The view from both the living room & front deck, as well as the hot tub was fantastic. The master bedroom & bathroom were spacious. The living room/dining room was open and bright. We really enjoyed having breakfast & dinner on the deck, gazing at the lake and relaxing or making plans. We rented a pontoon boat for a few hours one day. It was so convenient for my husband and I to go to the marina, then call the girls to meet us at the boat slip to hop aboard. The place is so close to everything, yet in a quiet location. The gas grill out back was perfect for having a cookout one night, then relaxing in the hot tub later.
We were apprehensive about staying in a "pet-friendly" place as we've never traveled with our pet before and didn't know what to expect; we were pleasantly surprised. The place was fresh, clean & tidy upon arrival.
At the time of this review, the property is for sale, we hope the new owners will continue to rent this out, as we would love to stay here again.
Our only suggestion would be for new mattress & boxsprings for the beds, they were not uncomfortable in the least, but our daughter's beds as well as the one in the master bedroom creaked and groaned anytime you moved. But at the end of most days we were so tired from all the activities, we just fell right to sleep.
This property is within minutes of Wisp so you can take advantage of the white water rafting, mountain coaster, etc. Also to Smiley's, Funland, a few different marina's, Uno's/Honi Honi, and lots of other activities.
Everything is all on one level in the house.
