Kaluakoi Condo Rental Photos and Description
Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)
Located between Oahu and Maui...Molokai is an undiscovered treasure. "The Friendly Isle" is a family-oriented island with deep connections to its Hawaiian traditions. Unlike the tourism driven other islands, here you can relax, slow down and have your own space. Nowhere else in the Hawaiian Islands will you have the opportunity to be the only one on a long white sand beach.
Ke Nani Kai #132 is a welcoming spacious end unit (the largest of the 3 floor plans) that has been decorated in fantastic Hawaiian style by the owners. Fun fresh paint throughout as well as vintage travel posters adorn the walls. The new sleeper sofa and chair covered in a mocha palm print add to the island-inspired makeover. Ke Nani Kai floor plans were designed so that the master bedroom can be closed off or opened up to the living area to give the unit a spacious feel and take advantage of the tropical breezes. The master received a tropical touch-up with a bamboo comforter set and bed. The second bedroom has new beds and is decorated in a surf shack motif.
The glass top dining set in the open great room has seating for 6 in brightly colored green and blue chairs. The kitchen is connected by a helpful pass-through and is well stocked with Circulon pots, kitchen gadgets, flatware, and glasses (both glass & plastic since glass is not allowed at the pool). You will have no problem preparing delicious meals with the local organic fruits and vegetables as well as grass fed Molokai beef or freshly caught fish.
There is a southwest facing wall of sliding glass doors that open up to an oversized patio and rolling lawn with the surprise addition of a mango tree. You are just a minute stroll from the best pool in Molokai and the regulation tennis courts. The Ke Nani Kai grounds are gorgeous. Look for hibiscus, plumeria, and banana trees when you walk the short 5 minutes to Kepuhi Beach. And, enjoy the wild turkeys and other exotic birds walking by in the morning while you eat your breakfast.
Ride a mule to Kalaupapa, hike to a waterfall, explore lush tropical forests, eat coconut pastries at the bakery, read a book at the pool, or just do nothing. Visiting Molokai will change your life for the better.

Why The Owner chose Kaluakoi
We purchased Ke Nani Kai 132 in 2007 as a retreat from the busy, over-scheduled world. We bring our children here every summer to experience a life where the biggest decision in the morning is...will it be the beach or the pool? The world seems to slow down and you see what is really important in life when you visit Molokai. We hope you enjoy your stay on the best Hawaiian Island!
What makes this condo unique
Ke Nani Kai 132 is an excellent choice for those wanting to get away from the over-commercialization of the other Hawaiian Islands. Our quiet, ground floor unit is great for individuals, couples, and families looking for a well cared for condo and enjoy having some extra living space. We have a great partial ocean view which includes Papohaku Beach which you can see while sitting under our covered patio. Grab some beach supplies and walk 5 minutes to Kepuhi Beach for boogie boarding, sand castle making, or just sitting on an uncrowded beach.
Guestbook comments from the owner
This spacious condo with festive decor is a great place to chill between planning your outings around the island, or just walking down to the beach. The condo, building, amenities, and grounds were clean and very well-cared for.
Your neighbors may be Hawaiians on vacation away from the other more developed islands and the tourist crush at Oahu or Maui. If you choose to barbecue on the community grill you're sure to run into friendly full-time residents who moved here from the mainland. We loved staying here! Our kids were content hanging out at the condo, swimming at the pool, or just stalking the peacocks that roamed freely.
Ke Nani Kai lies at the dry west end of Molokai, a savannah naturally landscaped in red soil and scrub, near the beach where athletes sometimes launch for the start of the annual Molokai Challenge to Oahu. Drive or bike down rustic byways to hidden coves for relaxed swims, or expanses of raw unspoiled beach. The two miles of serene golden sands at P?p?haku Beach are a short drive down the rural road, and smaller swimmer-friendly lagoons like Dixie Maru are a short ways further. The shore break is usually wild, but mornings at the Ke Nani Kai beach can grant a milder surf experience before the wind kicks up.
The south-east side of the island has lagoons formed from a huge protective reef, providing gentle swim areas adjacent to the open ocean in full view of Maui and Lanai islands. Following east makes an incredibly picturesque drive finishing at a flower farm/ranch that gives hiking tours up the Halawa valley and its namesake waterfall.
When we come back we will definitely stay at Ke Nani Kai.
