This recently updated two-story cabin is located in Soda Springs, California, about 1 block from beautiful Serene Lakes. This is a great rental for two families or one extended family! The ground floor has a large family room, 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, laundry, and a large porch. The family room has a pool/billiards table, wood stove, and TV with cable, DVD and VCR. Upstairs are 2 more bedrooms, a bathroom, living/dining room, kitchen, and a balcony. The living room has a TV with cable and DVD. The dining table seats 10 - perfect for large family gatherings. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and plenty of pans, dishes and silverware for large groups. The balcony has a gas BBQ, garden chairs, and a dining table and chairs; it's the perfect place to relax with a cup of coffee or glass of wine on warm summer days! All linens, towels, and paper goods are provided. There is plenty of parking on the level driveway, summer and winter

Serene Lakes is located in the northern California Sierra Mountains, about 13 miles from Truckee, with easy access from Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay area. In winter the area get plenty of snow for skiing, snowboarding, snow-shoeing, and sledding. The cabin is just minutes drive from Sugar Bowl, Donner Ski Ranch, and Soda Springs for downhill skiing and Royal Gorge for cross-country. Other major ski resorts, including Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, and Northstar are within easy driving distance. In summer the weather is warm and sunny with fresh mountain air, away from the heat of lower elevations. Summer activities include boating, fishing, and swimming on Serene Lakes. There is a homeowners beach and lots of hiking and biking trails nearby. The cabin is within easy driving distance of Donner Lake and lots of summer activities around Lake Tahoe, including water sports, white-water rafting, golf, etc., but away from all the crowds and congestion.

We had a great family holiday in your beautiful cabin. Plenty to see and do in the area for everyone; from snow-shoeing on the lake, sledging and great skiing a very short drive away, to Scrabble and of course the family card games. Would love to come back again!

We have rented this cabin in Serene Lakes more than once and have found it to be very comfortable, well equipped and reasonably priced. We had fantastic snow last time we were there and it was lovely and warm to come home to! Its location is perfect for winter skiing at several ski resorts and is situated in a quiet and friendly neighborhood.Most of all, the house is spacious but cozy for family gatherings and friends alike. We look forward to experiencing a summer visit in the future.

A home away from home!

This very spacious cabin is well located in a charming neighborhood very close to Sugar Bowl and Donner Lake. The cabin is very well equipped and is light and airy and extremely spacious. It truly does sleep 10 and is ideally suited to a large family or even 2 smaller families sharing as there are bedrooms on two different levels and there is a bathroom on both levels too. The cabin is well maintained and tastefully decorated and is truly a cosy home away from home. We love to ski and this cabin is truly ideal for that, being only about 10-15mins from Sugar Bowl and Donner Ski Ranch - Boreal, Soda Springs and Northstar are also very close at hand. It also is very close to picutresque Donner Lake which I am sure is beautiful during the summer months too. The neighborhood has a nice safe and friendly feel and overall the cabin is very comfortable and convenient.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin.It's comfortable and clean with a well appointed kitchen.It was great for 2 families and kids with a range of ages. Mostly, the adults and younger kids hung out upstairs and the older kids downstairs with the pool table and 2nd TV. Easy to get to,nice neighborhood,convenient to slopes of all types and a sweet little lake a short walk away. Great!
