The Cocoa Beach area is world famous for powder soft sand, shelling, and surfing. The world famous Ron Jon Surf Shop is minutes away. Kennedy Space is just a short to the north and all Orlando attractions can be reached in 35 minutes. Daytona Beach and Daytona International Speedway are less than 75 miles away. Port Canaveral (1.5 miles away) is home to Royal Caribbean, Carnival and Disney cruise ships among many others that visit weekly. This home would be a great way to extend your vacation either prior to or following your cruise! There are also casino gaming ships that leave Port Canaveral several times daily. Everglades National Park tours, manatee viewing, and deep sea fishing opportunities are easily booked in the area.

House Description: Seaside Escape includes a full size washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, and garbage disposal. All utensils, silverware, dishes, pots/pans are also included as well as a blender, coffee maker, toaster, can opener, and cork screw. All linens, bath towels, kitchen towels, and beach towels are also furnished. Seaside Escape is fully furnished for children with a high chair, Pac-N-Play, and stair gates furnished. Full cable TV can be found in the living room and all bedrooms with DVD players in every bedroom as well. The yard is fully fenced and many beach toys are supplied including a surfboard for your use. There is an outdoor shower for use after a beach visit in the tropically landscaped yard. A gas BarBQ grill can be found on the back deck as well as a 4-person hot tub.

Surrounding Area: The surrounding area includes many activities such as Kennedy Space Center, Disney, Universal, casino ships, and, of course, the beach. Go-kart tracks and mini-golf courses are only blocks away from the house and cruise ship terminals are less than 2 miles away. Great seafood restaurants and dining are close-by and fresh seafood markets are only minutes away so that you may create your own seafood feast at the house.

You have it all - jus relax !!!

We spent four days in this property and can't say enough how we enjoyed it. We had three young girls with us (4, 7 and 10 years old) and they could not believe that we could use all the beach "equipments" in the garage ! Everything was there ... including the boggey to go to the beach !

We really enjoyed the beach. We spent many vacations in Cuba (we are canadian), travelled in DR and recently spent a week in Riviera Maya, and we can tell you this beach is one of our favorites. A lot of space for every single family there, the temperature of the water was OK and the waves ... the children could not stop surfing and humilate the parents (our weight was our major argument !!!).

The beach is a 5 minutes walk from the property and even the youngest girl could easily do it.

The property is clean, you have everything you need (towels, etc.), it is located near grocery stores, have a BBQ and a have even a shower located outside in order to remove the sand before entering in the house !!! You will find it easily. If you are going on a cruise from Port Canaveral, don't waste you money for a hotel room when you can have this property !!!

It is very accurate to say that when you're arrived, the only thing you will have to do is to relax, go to the beach, come back for lunch and ... go back to the beach !

We left for a week at Disneyworld and our daughters told us many times that we were lucky to have been able to spend those days at this property to relax before the Disney storm.

If you are like us, a family with young kids who enjoy the beach and can spend the whole day on th water, don't hesitate one second to make your reservation ... before we do ! If you are looking for a beach with loud music, a boardwalk nearby and action, just head somewehere else ! It is really a place to relax.

You want to relax, have fun at the beach, go there ! It is not far from Orlando Airport in our point of view and we even went shopping one night and came back without being too tired.

If you want to go to Cape Canaveral, it is not far from there.

Again, it is a great property near the beach which has everything you need to relax in a family vacation or if you want to extend your vacations after a cruise from Port Canaveral.

Beautiful Comfortable Home

We had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful Cape Cod home and enjoyed every minute. The beach was a minute away and our kids had the best time playing in the wateriand taking surf lessons.

The home is spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed. We will definitely return in the future and highly recommend it for a family vacation.

Most Relaxing Vacation Ever!

We stayed at Seaside Escape in June 2009 after 6 days at DisneyWorld we came to Cocoa Beach for 5 days. This was our first visit to a beach. We loved every minute at Cocoa Beach. Our accommodations at Seaside Escape were so homey and inviting. The second we stepped through the front door we felt relaxed and comfortable. The home was clean and had everything we needed. The owners were so easy and helpful to work with. They gave us directions to their favorite places to eat and even allowed us to use their 'beach' supplies (chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, cooler). We loved the fact that there was a washer and dryer for us to use and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need to cook most any meal (There's even a barbecue grill!) We were only 2 blocks from the beach and the neighborhood seemed safe. We were only about an hour from Orlando and a few minutes from Cape Canaveral. We LOVED the two seated bicycle and the hot tub! We have already booked a return visit next year and plan to skip Disney and go straight to the real vacation!

A wonderful home base for the beach and Disney

My wife and I returned May 24 from a 2 week stay at "Seaside Escape". The house was indeed a home - an oasis of calm at either end of the day and a great base from which to either explore or wander down to the beach.

The house is one side of a side-by-side duplex, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dinette and living room, with a fenced yard (very useful the first week when we had our tow grandchildren there, one being 20 months old.

We met our daughter, son-in-law, 5-year old grandson and 20-month old grandaughter for the first week for a beach vacation with Disney added. The house is a couple of blocks from the beach, which was desirable to us because of the two little kiddies. Even the 20-month old walked the distance when she didn't want the stroller. With children, the quiet residential area was important, as well as the facilities to make our own meals and to really be at home. Being fully equipped, we only worried about groceries, and occasionally replacing goods as we used them up.

There were beach umbrellas, towels, beach toys (including boogie boards) and wheeled trolleys in the garage to make taking our stuff to the beach completely easy. The beach is 100% family oriented, extremely safe with a very gentle profile into the water, yet even adults could get rides on the waves using the boogie boards. We felt completely secure with both small children and a non-swimming son-in-law in the water and along the beach. As noted the beach right there is families and toddlers - for more of the "scene" and to watch more surfing a 5-minute drive (or 45-minute beach walk) leads to Cocoa Beach Pier.

Disney World is a little over an hour away by car, and Kennedy Space Center 1/2 hour. We made sure we always had a beach play day between any Disney days for the little ones to avoid exhaustion.

One comment about the house: the master and third bedrooms are upstairs, and the third bedroom occupants have to enter the master bedroom to use the bathroom upstairs. Fine for families, but might not suit 3 couples sharing.

We agreed with the owners' dining recommendations, and would add a recommendation for Dixie Crossroads on Hwy 506 in Titusville, especially if you have visited Kennedy Space Center that day (close to Titusville). The Rock Shrimp tase like little lobsters.

In spite of the record rains in Florida the second week (no water problems at Seaside Escape) we can't wait to go back next spring.

Great place to stay for a european family

We stayed here for 2 weeks in October. It was the holiday of my life. We really enjoyed the features of this house, but we hadn't got enough time to try all of them them - 2 weeks is just too short!

The house is beautiful and cosy. Its location is just wonderful! It's very close to the Kennedy Space Center and other important places. It's a great property for families with children.
