Relax in style! Take a break at our beautifully appointed Treehouse in East Texas. Treehouse is located in a forested section of a 300 acre ranch. It's a cozy getaway with a queen bed, sitting area, full kitchen and bath with commanding views of the 8 acre lake below. Situated on the second floor of the owner's detached carriage house, Treehouse offers has a deck where guests can sit and take in spectacular views of the lake. It features an abundance of windows opening to the surrounding woods and hence, the treehouse feel. Accommodations at Treehouse are first class and include luxury bedding with Egyptian cotton sheets. Satellite TV with DVD library and a DSL hook-up let you reconnect with the world outside if desired. A picnic table and gas grill on a large dock out in the lake and make for a wonderful dining experience just a short walk from Treehouse. Guests can hike and picnic throughout the 300 acre ranch. Three large stocked private lakes provide great fishing.

The ranch is centrally located in Northeast Texas. It is a 15 minute drive to Gilmer, Winnsboro and Pittsburg. Mt. Pleasant, Mineola, Quitman and Gladewater are only 20 to 30 minutes away. Historic Jefferson is 40 minutes away. Lakes within 10 minutes to 30 minutes of the ranch include Lakes Gilmer, Bob Sandlin, Cypress Springs and Fork. Antique stores are plentiful in the area. Los Pinos Winery is 15 minutes away and features wine tasting, lunch and special events. Live music from blue grass to cross over country features regional and nationally known artists at the Crossroads in Winnsboro, TX. Museums in Pittsburg and Jefferson round out the activities and give the visitor a feel for the rich history of the area. Restaurants are plentiful with food to fit every palate and pocketbook. In the summer, local peach and berry sheds are open to the public and feature locally grown peaches, blackberries, blueberries and a variety of local produce.

PERFECT RETREAT

We had a beautiful weekend! It was so peacefull!

This is a picture perfect cottage and what a fun and educational safari type tour! We want to take the tour again in the fall!

We fished from dawn til dusk, then cooked out on the dock! We then walked to the cottage and had a lovely dinner.

What an amazing weekend we had. We can't wait to go back.

The owners were so sweet and offered us so much more than we could have hoped for. The ranch hand was so nice and went out of his way to make sure we could clean our own fish. What a true luxurious weekend.

We are going back in the fall, I bet the trails will be spectacular then.

Treehouse

We stayed in the Treehouse the 1st weekend in May and absolutely loved it. The accomodations were exactly as advertised and were perfect for a quiet weekend get-away. We especially loved the view from the front porch overlooking the lake. I would highly recommend the Treehouse except for times when we are trying to stay there again. We will definitely be returning as it was perfect for our needs.
