With updated island-style furnishings and ceiling fans, this three bedroom, two bath property is situated on one acre of lush vegetation for privacy and year-round tropical gems, including banana, papaya, grapefruit, mango, coconut, lime, avocado and pineapple fruit.

A tranquil setting at comfortable elevation, you will enjoy relaxing by the pool with a glass of wine from the temperature-controlled wine cooler or preparing a delicious cookout on the Weber Genesis grill. Lounging on the lanai's hammock or mixing up a mai tai at the teak bar are favorite pastimes.

Best of all, you will enjoy the panoramic views of our famous Kona sunsets. You may never want to leave this island oasis.

Conveniently located near both the airport and downtown Kona, numerous beautiful sites are easily accessible: beaches with fantastic snorkeling are within 15, minutes in addition to outdoor crafts and farmer's markets. The Four Seasons and State Park beaches are 15-20 minutes away.

Other Kohala Coast resort and shopping areas are within 30 minutes, including Waikaloa, with its famous restaurants and boutiques. The historic rancher's town of Waimea is a 45-minute drive; Hilo & Volcano National Park are about 2 hours away.

On a more practical note, Costco is less than 5 minutes from the house. Stock up the kitchen so you won't have to eat out every meal!

About The Owner

You might think this is just another vacation home, but there's actually a story behind it...starting with our grandfather "Pop's" love of the ocean. Although he lived simply as a commercial fisherman, he and his brother saved enough money along the way for us to invest in a family home in their memory. We chose Kona Heavens because of the ocean's proximity and all of its offerings. Our family has gathered here many times since. In the spirit of Pop's generosity, we wanted to share this oasis with others; so, we decided to make it available as a rental property! We hope you create as many wonderful memories during your stay as we have. This is truly a special place that Pop would have loved. We think of him every time we visit.

Why The Owner chose Kailua Kona

Our family had visited the islands of Hawaii a few times prior to the purchase of this home, and we all agreed that the Big Island had some very unique characteristics we just couldn't ignore...and Kona was the perfect spot to blend them all together. We loved being in a quiet, secluded neighborhood away from the hubbub of the tourists, while being just minutes from attractions and shops to supply all of our needs. We have enjoyed many evenings out on the lanai barbecuing fresh fish from the nearby harbor. We love going to local beaches to swim, snorkel, and scuba dive...with so many gorgeous options for all of these activities. Downtown Kona is just minutes away, and a lovely spot to stroll, window shop and dine out. The local flavor of upper mountain towns and tropical Hilo also offer a unique cultural experience.

What makes this house unique

We had compared prices to hotels in Kona...and this was a great deal for its spaciousness and flexibility. You can stock the fridge with all of your favorite foods, have a large living space to watch DVD's or play boardgames with your family, swim 24/7 in a private, heated pool and enjoy tropical edibles right from the garden! Because we work closely with a local management company, your needs are conveniently and immediately met during your stay. The home will be spotless when you arrive and thoroughly cleaned when you depart. It's the perfect blend of quiet oasis and fun vacation spot for you and your family to enjoy. This place truly has it all!

Refundable security deposit will be returned in full 14 days after your departure as long as there is no theft or damage to the property.
Fees And Taxes Approx 13% tax charged by the state of Hawaii on all rentals.
$177.08 one time cleaning fee.
These rates are for up to 7 people. Additional guests will be charged $10/person/night.
Beginning 2014, our high season rates will increase to $320 per night, or if you stay 28 nights or more, $253 per night.

What an incredible place!

We just returned from 10 days stay and absolutely loved it! If privacy & relaxation is what you are looking for this is the place! The pool is exquisite and the fruit trees add to every meal. Melon I was her favorite place to laze around and read. Really enjoyed having a gas stove and a fully stocked kitchen. We can't wait to return!

Home away from home

We are four retired folks from the Pacific Northwest. We have traveled together the last few years usually staying in hotels or condos. Too busy & noisy. Found Kona Lani, gave it a try and loved it. They say you can't go back but we did and found it better than the first time with many upgrades. We just finished our fourth trip staying a month each time. Enjoyed the relaxed setting and spending more time enjoying the the property with its many tropical fruit trees. Enjoyed the public beach access at Hualalai and Mauna Kea. Kua for boogie boarding and Puako for snorkling. Will return again as long as health allows traveling. Thank you so much to the owners of the property for sharing it truly is a paradice. Two wonderful weeks

My husband and I were impressed with this beautiful, comfortable, and spacious home. The lanai is a fabulous area for barbecuing and relaxing and watching the sun go down into the ocean. The drive up to the house is spectacular when the flowers are in bloom, and the quiet neighborhood is restful and homey. you're only minutes away from downtown Kona and all the shops, restaurants and places to play you would want., But you'll never want to leave this lovely home.

I have had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful home on several memorable vacations. My favorite part is when you first walk into the home and see the fantastic lanai, pool and gorgeous ocean view..it immediately feels like you are on vacation. The house sits on a tropically landscaped 1 acre that offers great privacy. It is fun to walk around the property and see what fruits are in season. Everything you could want to do is a short drive away, beach, ocean, harbor, golf, and restaurants. I highly recommend this house for a memorable vacation.

Great Lanai

I really enjoyed my stay at this house for a few reasons.

Einstein must have also architected houses in Hawaii, or some other really smart person who made the lanai area as big as the inside of the house. This is great because you really want to spend your time outside by the pool in or out of the shade. The pool and the lanai have clean views of the ocean--it's a great place to hang out day or night.

Location. We also liked the house being up the mountain just enough to take the edge off the Kona heat, but not far from town and beaches.

Privacy. We liked how private the house and yard felt. A great part of that is not having to look at a fence, but rather the elegantly landscape architecture with many fruit trees, flowers and plants that were rather exotic.

The house itself was very comfortable and the kitchen that overlooks the pool was roomy and well equipped. We will be back.
