Enjoy Little Lagoon:
We have a pier and boat launch on Little Lagoon. Bring kayaks, a small boat (the lagoon is pretty shallow) or jet skis and you can tie up right behind the pier. A local company will also bring a pontoon boat for the day if you like!
The lagoon has flounder, speckled trout, croakers, blue crab and more and you can fish right from the backyard pier or 100 yards east at Lagoon Pass where the Gulf flows into the 9-mile wide salt-water lagoon.
At the western end is a wildlife preserve you can explore. From our backyard you'll see heron, pelicans, hermit crabs and more.
Gorgeous beach, just a few hundred feet away:
You'll love the beautiful and uncrowded beach. This is a quiet residential area with no crowds, no tall buildings. You won't have to worry about finding room on the beach and we usually have some tidal pools that are great for kids play. Sugar-white beaches and emerald waters are why this area is called the Emerald Coast. Some afternoons you'll see dolphins just offshore.
Close to everything!:
While we are in a wonderful, quiet neighborhood, we are just 3 miles from the center of Gulf Shores so you are close to restaurants, shops and attractions ranging from The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo (subject of The Animal Planet television series 'The Little Zoo That Could'), Waterville USA amusement and water park, Zooland putt-putt and more.
