Don't be put off by the small number of reviews. This condo is a lockout 2 bedroom is made up of a adjacent studio (VRBO 70451) and one bedroom (VRBO 70450). You can see the more than 250 reviews from happy vacationners on those listings. It is so popular split that is it rarely available as the full 2 bedroom for larger families.
This Grand Champions, two bedroom, two bath condominium is just a short walk to the ocean. This is our personal condominium, and when we are not on the property one of our neighbors will be available to take care of any problems. Please check our rental calendar before putting in an inquiry, as this will save us both time; we keep it up to the minute.
The ground floor unit features easy access and a reserved parking space in front of the unit, as well as use of convenient guest parking. It features two large bedrooms with comfortable, king and queen size bed, a living room, two large futons, a full kitchen, dining area and a second kitchenette, two full bathrooms including one with a two person shower and a tub, and a large lanai featuring tropical garden views - with a waterfall and stream in the winter months. Floor space is approximately 1400 square feet. See below for other details. There are two separate entry doors, and a lockable door between the two halves of the condominium for more privacy as needed. While it is a ground floor unit, the lanai is raised about six feet off ground level (no outside access). This is the most affordable two bedroom luxury condo in one of the finest resorts in the world. It is like staying at the world famous Grand Wailea resort (which you can walk to) for less than a third of the price. The unit easily sleeps six. This is one of the best units in the complex, quiet because it is an end unit and on also on the edge of the property, and shaded for most of the day so it is cool even in the summer.
The Grand Champions property features two pools with whirlpool spas, barbecue facilities and lush gardens. It is surrounded by Wailea's award winning Blue Golf Course and Tennis Club. Ranked in the top 50 best resort tennis facilities, the club boasts 11 plexi-pave courts, three lit courts for night play, a stadium court and a full service pro shop. Guests will receive preferential golf and tennis rates at the Wailea and Makena Resorts. Condo quests also receive half price discounts at a nice health club in Kihei.
Located in the heart of the Wailea Resort area, on Maui's sunny south shore, Grand Champions is just a short walk to the Shops at Wailea, and minutes from Ulua Beach (ranked 8th in the nation - world class snorkeling & diving too), Keawakapu, Mokapu, Ulua, Wailea Beach, and Polo Beaches, spa facilities and award winning restaurants. Grand Champions is a private enclave in the midst of Wailea that offers its guests all the wealth of this world-class resort's environment and a touch of seclusion that sets it quietly apart. The architecture is classic, the environment peaceful, the landscaping lush, and the views are exceptional - including the world's largest dormant volcano, Haleakala.
Kihei is a few minutes to the north. This is much more of a busy, touristy town. You can find lots of stores there to get groceries and other stuff; and some good, inexpensive restaurants. There is also mainland style shopping center a few miles up the Piilani Highway, with and Outback Steakhouse, a Blockbuster Video and other name brand stores; including a Safeway for food supplies.
Discover Hawaii's fascinating undersea world on a snorkel or dive trip. Explore the beautiful Hawaiian waters aboard a private yacht charter or observe nature on a whale watching tour. For those who would like to remain on land, Hawaii offers adventurous bike tours and eco-tourism hikes. Visit Ahihi-Kina'u Natural Area Reserve, Kealia Pond Wildlife Refuge, or the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale Sanctuary. Maui is a treasure of cultural and natural sights just waiting to be explored.

There are no pets allowed in the condo complex.
Check in time is 3:00; check out time is 11:00. You MUST be out of the condo by 11:00 so it can be cleaned for the next occupant unless we have agreed to a late checkout in advance. Absent that pre-agreement, if you are not out of the unit by 11:00, you will be charged an additional days rental. Please note that if there are back-to-back, or in and out on the same day, situations created by your reservation, this may cause my cleaner to be overbooked, and you may be asked to accept a later check in time, such as 6:00. If this is necessary, a $50 credit will be given.
Cancellations and refunds:
A $500 Deposit is required to hold the condo for all reservations. For rentals longer than three weeks, a larger deposit may be required. This deposit will not be refunded for cancellations within 2 months of arrival. If you just shift a booking in the same general timeframe we can carryover the deposit. If you just cancel, you can apply half of the deposit to a future rental. The balance is due one month before arrival. If the balance is not paid at that time, the reservation may be canceled. Once full payment is made, and if you have to cancel up to 2 weeks before arrival, we will refund one half of the total payment. After that, no refund of any kind.

The condo is clearly advertised as “NON-SMOKING”, including the lanai. If you are found to have violated this, you will be charged an additional $250 cleaning fee.

We purchased this condo, which is part of a 2 BR lockout unit, as our retirement home. Of course that hasn't happened as soon as we were expecting. We stayed in a similar unit one summer and fell in love with the area. We were looking for a place that would be great for vacations but also someplace that we could see ourselves living some day.

We found this condo to be beautifully finished,tastefully decorated, and a wonderful location!
The owners thought of every conceivable need, and we were extremely comfortable. We would highly recommend this condo, and would stay there again in a flash! The caretakers also deserve a mention as they were so considerate to acknowledge our late arrival and left everything so inviting! They also cleaned it well!
These condos are perfect for those seeking a quiet and relaxing vacation destination. We are so thankful that our unit provided full cooking conveniences, boogie boards and snorkel gear, which cut down on our expenses tremendously. The local beaches were wonderful and easy to find.
This place was perfect for out family of 5 plus 2 uncles. Very clean, plenty of boogie boards and beach chairs and towels. Really a great price for a Wailea vacation we will definitely be staying here again at this unit. We have stayed at 3 other units this fit our family the best. We have 4 boys only 3 of them were there ages 8,7, and 5.
Grand Champion has the best location of Maui. You can walk to the best beaches, nice shopping centre and good restaurants. The condo is surrounded by all the nice trees nestled with lots of birds. It is very well equipped with very touchy decoration. You can find whatever you need in the kitchen and for your laundries. We felt that it was a home away from home and really enjoyed our vacation. We will recommend it for anyone.
We just spent a wonderful family vocation in Maui. Together with a friend's family, we rented this condo at the Grand Champions for 11 nights, this turned out to be one of the best decisions that we made for our trip. The condo is equipped with everything needed for the daily life which made us feel at home and relaxed. We were 4 adults and 3 children, and the unit could comfortably accommodate all of us. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, he provided all the information in advances and explained everything in details so we could maximize our experience in Maui; he even provide us with snorkeling gears so we could go to beach any time. The condo is very conveniently located, as it is only a few minutes away (by driving) to several world's best beaches. You can also walk to the beaches in about 10 minutes. As a matter of fact, we were able to take a morning walk along the beach trail everyday. The unit is also very close to the Wailea shopping centre, so you can buy souvenirs and also have dinner there. We would rent again without hesitation and would recommend it to anyone going to Maui.
Stayed at the condo for six days in July 2012. We had a great time. My family moved right in and made themselves at home. There was plenty room for the eight of us. The condo included everything we needed for the beach, snorkeling and just fun. I very highly recommend this condo and area in Maui.
