Cozy apartment in typical building of Born district (1890 )downtown combining a rustic style with all modern conveniences. Having 3 large wooden windows w/ balcony/patio you will enjoy a lot of daylight and amazing views to trees and parrots within the heart of Old Town.

The apartment is composed of one large fully equipped kitchen with microwave, kettle, fruit juice and coffe makers. The balcony/patio has a small table w/chair

One large living room with 2 comfortable sofas (one with a convertible double bed), a dining table for 4. It also has a large window/balcony/patio with incredible open views to tree-lined avenue.

One large bedroom with a double bed, closet and chest of drawers with mirror. One charming bathrooom with full bath tub and shower, washer, hair dryer and iron. It is decorated with authentic catalan tiles on walls.The original wooden beams and windows give a warm and 'homey' feel to the apartment. The apartment has air conditioning and heating.

Excellent location from where to explore other destinatios in Catalonia, such as Girona, Tarragona, Montserrat. Check also nearby property (#264511)in Sitges famous town on Mediterranean coast

Why Carola chose La Ribera El Borne

It is a colourful district, so easy to walk to museums (Picasso Museum), theaters (Liceo Theater), modernist building (Palace of Music), Gothic Quarter (Cathedral) shops I(Portal del Angel), markets (Santa Catherina Market), restaurants (4 Gats) and bars. The Ciutadella park is almost across the street and just behind is the beach (Barceloneta).

It is 5 min. to metro line and railway 'Arco de triunfo', 5 min. to bus Station del Norte ( to go to Girona, Figueras), 10 min. to main railway station de Francia. It is really the best location from where to discover Catalonia and the local lively neighborhood.

What makes this apartment unique

The unique feature of this apartment (compared to similar apartments in this area) is its amazing open views overlooking trees (with parrots) from all main rooms, which give you a lot of light, sunshine, and privacy even though you are in the very heart of Old Town.

My husband and I stayed in this apartment from 11.2-11.11 and loved it.

Neighborhood: perfect for us- tons of great places to eat and drink, easily walkable, felt less touristy than other neighborhoods, clean, quiet at night, santa catarina market is amazing, park across the street. loved it.

Apartment: really nice. lovely views, comfortable, exactly as pictured. kitchen is pretty well equipped, washing machine works well. chandeliers in every room, we loved it. Really easy to communicate with Carola and the lovely woman who checked us in and out. We'd definitely stay here again next time!

The perfect place to stay

We loved this apartment. It was exactly as described on the website, and in previous comments. It was very clean, and well equipped. There was a great supply of reference material, and Carola had thoughtfully left some basics (water, milk, wine!, oranges). It is an excellent location, with a small market and restauraunt below, quick access to the Metro system, and walking distance from many local destinations. If we are lucky enough to return to Barcelona, we woudn't even consider looking for a different apartment, and it sure beats staying at a hotel.

Wonderful apartment!

We stayed here for five nights and had a fantastic time. The apartment is *exactly* as described and pictured, and is immaculate. We found it comfortable and lovely, and felt immediately at home. Carola met us upon arrival and was friendly and extremely helpful in pointing us to local attractions. Her shelf of travel books and maps helped as well. She had kindly stocked the refrigerator with a few items that helped get us going and added to the extra feeling of welcome. The location is fantastic--truly almost everything we wanted to do was within walking distance, including the beaches and many of the main sights of the city. We loved the three different small balconies, each with its own beautiful view. Yes, there are a few stairs to climb, but we got used to that quickly and only really noticed it the first night when we had suitcases. Thanks for a great stay, Carola!

Great location, very nice apartment. The bed wasn't very comfortable, but other than that it was exactly as advertised and we would definitely stay there again.

Our 12 day stay at this charming apartment was wonderful. The pictures are very accurate, it was clean and Carola was wonderful...she was full of info on Barcelona and surrounding area and thanks to her we went to Sitges, Mt Serrat and other day trips as well as exploring all areas in Barcelona. The location was great we walked almost everywhere and transit in Barcelona is great and close by. My only complaint would have been the mattress but when you are travelling it's not like home and we made out fine. You have to be able to climb stairs at this apartment but that allows you to eat all the great food there right? Next door to the apartment is a small grocery store, restaurants and bakery's on every corner and we always found what we needed within walking distance.

We will recomend this apartment to friends who are travel buffs for sure.
