The exterior of 'Birdsong' was designed to resemble the original Old Floridian style of architecture, with replica wooden paneling, raised front porch/veranda, railings and small pane windows. The front porch features white wicker chairs, love seat and table, rocking chair, and is the perfect place to breakfast in the early morning sunshine. The rear looks out onto a small lake,/pond and is totally private and bathed in sunshine all day. The secluded pool and spa catch this sunshine - keeping the water warm, but both are electrically heated in the cooler winter months. The pool deck comes equipped with loungers, tables and chairs for sun bathing and relaxation! The surrounding area is quiet, with no through traffic. The landscaped gardens are tropical in style. Also at the rear (but hidden from the villa) is the beautiful Pinemoor Golf Course & lakes- one of many golf courses in the area. This secluded aspect encourages much wildlife - the area is classified as a bird sanctuary.

You can rent a boat for the day and visit one of the small semi-tropical islands that abound this paradise. The breathtaking millionaires' Gasparella Island, with its talcum powder white beaches, and quaint village of Boca Grande, is just 15 minutes from the door.

After years of searching, we feel we have at last found our paradise - relaxing with a glass of wine, by the lakeside, or in the spa at sunset - with just the night chorus for company. The elevated rear lanai (patio) - complete with railings, ceiling fan, table and chairs - is always in shade, providing relief in mid summer, when it may become too hot during the day. At sunset, this is an ideal place for the cocktail hour and the evening meal. The interior is furnished to a very high standard. The living area is spacious with high cathedral ceilings, and Nafco Lorraine replica oak flooring. Sliding doors take you onto the lanai and to the pool. The large curved corner sofa, complete with welcome leg rests, is the perfect place to relax at the end of a long, arduous day, and flick through the 120 + channels on the large 34' satellite TV - or just listen to the stereo or radio. There is also a well stocked bookcase to suit a variety of tastes.

The luxury kitchen is fully equipped, and has a breakfast bar. The dining nook comes complete with a large oval table and six chairs - perfect for dinner indoors, and overlooks the secluded landscaped rear. The master bedroom is fully carpeted and features a queen size bed and 32' satellite TV. A large bay window with window seating overlooks the private rear garden. This bedroom features an en-suite bathroom - complete with a large 6' oval marble bath - walk in shower, and separate 'his' & 'hers' marble vanity sink units. Of the two additional bedrooms, one features a large queen size bed and satellite TV. The other, overlooking the front veranda, has two single beds. Each bedroom has its own bathroom.

We are just about to book our third stay at Birdsong...It is without doubt the nicest villa in the area ...with total privacy...and peacefulness. There is a pretty lake at the bottom of the garden to sit and watch the sun set in the evenings..I would highly recommend this property it is very special. Helen

What a pleasure it was to spend time at Birdsong at the end of a very trying period - mentally and physically.
From afternoons at convenient uncrowded beaches, to evenings enjoying the fine fare at local restaurants, or just relaxing beside the pool or by the lake ...a really pleasant time... much appreciated ...Thank you Arthur and Linda.

We have had two fantastic holidays in the wonderful 'Birdsong'. We are now planning our third trip in July. The house is beauitful set in a wonderful location and the garden is delightful. Congratulations to Art and Linda for doing such a great job. Roll on July!! From the Murray family.

well what can i say...what a wonderful..charming...cosy ...home..i have had the most beautiful time here at birdsong...fabulous gardens ...in the most georgous setting...and the lake , what a spot for a cocktail or two !!...thank you so much for sharing this wonderful place with us...it will stay with us for ever........
