Bozeman Vacation Rental cabin

This is my honest experience at the Rockhorse cabin, Red Barn/Drinking Horse Ranch. I would caution one to confirm with contract that the high amount you are paying for this cabin is actually what the owner having you stay in. We were sent pictures of the fully furnished, all amenities cabin and were given the keys to the barn that had a microwave and mini fridge, and a whole lot of paint buckets stored in the entry. The barn is a stripped down basics model with nothing to offer more than a much cheaper motel room does. And, we even bought our own toilet paper.
During our stay, both families withstood hundreds of flies, and mice were caught in the cabin. Mice feces on the kitchen counter was part of the accommodations, and we had plenty of that to clean off.
More disappointing, we went the extra mile cleaning and such to make sure everything was addressed to assure our retaining fee would be returned in full and the owner ended up withholding a portion of that for bogus fees. Upon calling him to question these, he proceeded to project personal insults rather than be honest. WOW! Unbelievable experience!
We saved all year for our venture several states from home and were so excited about it. This was a great disappointment. We approached the owner gingerly about the issues only to have him behave extremely unprofessional. There are many other places to stay in beautiful Bozeman, Montana. Save yourself the grief we have endured. It shouldn't be like this.
We would highly recommend staying anywhere but here!!!!!
