Large 7 bedroom mountain cabin with home theater and wide open views

We booked this home very early in our planning process. Thus there were many positive email exchanges over the proceeding months. A few days prior to our arrival Cliff took the time to call and answer some of my last minute questions. I found that to be very helpful. Key pickup and access to the home was simple as explained.

This is a very nice property and the photos are a good representation of what you get.

The kitchen was very good sized and well stocked. There were plenty of plates, glasses, plastic cups and silverware. We've learned over the years of renting vacation homes to always bring a sharp knife (or two) but I heard no complaints about the knives in this kitchen. (My wife & daughters do most of the cooking and I do the cleanup so I have little experience with the knives here). Counter space and food storage was more than adequate and the ice maker was a big plus. My only "complaint" is that we did not find cookie sheets while we were able to find 5 muffin tins. This was easily remedied by running into town.

There were 3 separate dining areas which was really cool. There was a typical indoor set that allowed all 10 of us to dine together, a sun room dining set that sat 8-10 (we played games here a lot) and an outdoor set that sat 8. These choices were nice.

The 4 "living rooms" we're a plus as this allowed those of our group who wanted a private moment to find the place to do so.

Initially, the theater room wasn't a huge attraction to me but after arrival I was very impressed with it. The seating was comfortable. The afghans were nice to have as the room was cooler. Most importantly, the picture and sound quality was very good. By a stroke of luck I opted to put my 84 year old mom at the opposite end of the house which permitted the sound to be used "properly".

We brought children with us and one grandson was a brand new walker. Going in I brought an expandable baby gate and would always suggest that. We used it to keep him out of areas where he could get hurt. Access to the downstairs was too wide for the gate but we were able to use 2 of the large chairs to deter him. This was Cliff's suggestion and it worked well.

Our family tends not to vacation in the same place but if we did we would likely stay here again. Most importantly, for the purpose of this review we would stringly recommend this home and this owner.
