Rancho del Ingles has much to offer. The original farmhouse is over a century old while the rest of the property has evolved over the last 20 years. The rustic farmhouse is a romantic setting for a couple or small family group while the main house, a few metres away is spacious, rustic yet grand, can accommodate 6 or 8. There is also a pool house with two futon beds, shower and w/c, and two annexes, each with twin beds and ensuite shower/wc. The property is secluded but not isolated with many terraces and separate areas. Within the spacious grounds orange, lemon and avocado groves, woods, a stream and mature shrubs give a wonderful sense of well-being. Teenagers enjoy chilling in the pool house so you don't need to drive them to clubs on the coast and the pool (with shallow end) is raised making it safer for toddlers. People of all ages love the space and freedom so much they often prefer to stay put than go exploring. Please email to receive a plan of the property.

Rancho del Inglés comprises several buildings of great character: one large impressive building with a tower (the main house)sleeps 8-10; an original farmhouse dating back two centuries which sleeps 4 - 6, two annexes and a room by the pool with futon day beds (sleeping up to 6). It is ideal for any size group from one to up to 16 (or 20 if using day beds and sofabed). Small groups may opt for the farmhouse and additional accommodation by way of the annexes or pool room while larger groups may find that they need the entire property. The availability chart for the whole property shows when the property is available in its entirety. If you require only the farmhouse or main house please check separately. The farmhouse alone is not available in peak season, only as additional accommodation to the main house.

Fifteen minutes from Malaga airport, but not on the flightpath, Rancho del Ingles nestles peacefully in the foothills, just outside the small, busy town of Alhaurin de la Torre. It's well situated for driving to the coast and inland destinations such as Granada, with its magnificent Alhambra and gardens; the old hillside village of Mijas, famous for its spectacular views of the coast; Ronda with its medieval bridge spanning a 500 ft gorge and much more. Seville can be reached within two hours by car or train. The local town is about 20 mins walk, or a few mins drive and provides bars, restaurants (which welcome small children) and cafes; tennis; open market and shopping. Malaga, often overlooked, is close and has much to offer including: the new Picasso museum, the cathedral and the Alcazaba. Aquapark, a water amusement park; Seaworld, Crocodile Park and Plaza Mayor with cafes, shops and cinema showing English films, and an 18 hole golf course are all within short driving distance.

  • It is important to note that these prices reflect the rental for the entire property sleeping up to 20 people. Even large groups may not want the whole property so please contact the owner for a quotation or check each property individually. Please let us know what ages children are as this will have a bearing on where we suggest they sleep. Toddlers and teenagers although similar in some ways, have different needs in others.
  • The annexse rooms which have twin beds and en suite shower room in each and the pool house are included in the rental for the whole property and are priced as follows:
    Rental per room is £230 in mid season; £270 in high season and £400 in peak season.

Rancho del Ingles - The whole property: Rancho del Ingles offers very flexible accommodation from bed and breakfast for a couple for a weekend, through to a party of 20 for the whole summer. But we realise that this might also be rather confusing. Please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be delighted to talk through your requirements and clarify details given here.

Activities: According to your interests and requirements we should be very pleased to discuss activities available. We run occasional Painting and Drawing Holidays, and Yoga Holidays. Also there are many sightseeing visits and activities we can suggest but some might be more than 15 minutes drive away.

Golf: Alhaurin de la Torre boasts its own 18 hole course at Lauro Golf which is about a ten minute drive, while ten minutes further on there is the 18 hole, Alhaurin Golf. There are about thirty other courses on the 50 mile stretch of the coast, or Costa del Golf as it is often known. The fine weather makes golf popular with many all year round. We welcome golf parties and will gladly arrange on bed and breakfast basis if required.

Can't wait to go back! S.C ... Rancho del Ingles is superb … The little ones loved being there … It was indeed a most memorable and happy holiday and I revelled in the congratulations of the family for having found Rancho del Ingles … it proved to be a marvellous choice. L.C ... a fantastic holiday both houses completely exceeded our expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed the gardens and the pool. It is a great spot for local sightseeing, we managed to get to Seville, Granada, Ronda, Puerto Banus, Marbella and we did have plans to see lots more, but we found we enjoyed the house so much that it was a real struggle trying to motivate ourselves to actually get up and do something. P.H ... Fantastic, you should have talked us into two weeks! R.F ... We particularly liked the fact that (the local town) wasn't touristy . We also enjoyed the restaurants you recommended, especially the pizza place...ventured into the town for a few drinks and a spot of pool to keep the lads happy. P.H

Nice relaxing place

We had a great time at the Rancho, everybody loved the place, quiet but at the same time with plenty of things to do. The pool was wonderful and the kids enjoyed it very much. The gardens, patios and gazebos were very enjoyable too. The only thing that did not work out quite so well was that the house at the front of the Rancho - the studio close to the pool - was not as comfortable as the rest. It was quite large but had no mosquito nets. Having said that, the rest of us were very pleased with the accomodation.

what can i say...our 4th visit. always fabulous. rancho is so very gorgeous. its such a special place to spend time and this time we shared with 5 other families...gorgeous. david and miyuki are the perfect hosts

Quirky and lovely oasis and so close to Malaga airport! Kind and caring owner couple. Would recommend to anyone especially those who don't like IKEA but do love sun, pools and comfort. Plenty of hidden corners for intimacy even within the context of a 6 family holiday (which we were)

Hidden Gem

After much deliberation and trepidation about travelling to one of the most crowded and overpopulated Costas in Spain, we were wooed by the website and the friendly manner of the owners. When we arrived we were not disappointed, in fact we were a little overwhelmed; the website is far too modest for a what is a fabulous gem of a place hidden away in the hillside just outside Malaga.
The setting is beautiful gardens, with lots of different areas for relaxing in the shade under lemon trees, pergolas or sunbathing on loungers by the pool. The accommodation itself is tastefully decorated; in keeping with a modern 'country' style while having it's own personality through the amazing pieces of architectural salvage peppered throughout; the ceiling from the former FCO, steel pillars from a Victorian church in Wandworth. Yet it's not crowded and is clean and airy. We were lucky enough to stay in the studio which we highly recommend for a romantic break.
The owners themselves are helpful and friendly ready to give advice on local restaurants, walks and tours but not at all intrusive and give their guests space to relax.
This venue comes highly recommended, it's equally suited to couples, small groups or a big family get-away having facilities for all and it's great value for money.
The beaches and the restaurants close by aren't great but they aren't too bad either and if you have a car and are prepared to drive for an hour you can find quiet stretches of beach where you can escape English people and English food! Equally, if you want to do your bit for the environment or save money you could stay there without a car and take a taxi from the airport. The local town is a 20 minute walk away.
